Hello, I cant get my computer to recognize my camera (Canon powershot SD780) when I plug the USB cord into my computer from the camera nothing happens. I click on computer and it is not in there. I am using Vista Home Premium. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Brian

If there is a problem with your USB port then correct it first. Did you restart your PC? Generally this solves the problem. Did you install the the driver correctly? Yes, it has been seed that other similar model cables doesn't work properly due to minor changes in their structure, although he connectors are same but I'll recommend you to get the original cable for your cam.
The inappropriate cable may end up in some other loss.
