My samsung impression went into no sim mode and it will only let me make emergency calls. how do i get out of no sim mode?

Check your sim card, might be faulty. It only default to emergency calls if it doesn't pick up your network signal.

make sure the sim card if it has one is all the way in,i know my blackberry did that if the sim card was knocked lose,my iphone will only allow emergency calls when its locked.

this is normally related to the sim card, i would normally recommend to take the sim card out, rub the contacts with an eraser to clean it off, and try putting it back in. if that does not work, i would recommend a sim card replacement.

Did you try to use anyother SIM card.Please try any other SIM card and check whether it is working.If it is working the problem is with the SIM card.If it is not working it its with the SIM card slot in the mobile.You need to service the mobile.

Your phone must be locked to a certain operator. If you can fid which one, you might be able to get the unlock codes from them.

A hard reset will clear everything out of the phone and reset your password. To perform a hard reset on a samsung take out the battery and removve the sim card and power on the phone. when it comes back on type in *2767*3855#. The phone will go thourgh a reset process and when it comes back on take the battery out again and put your sim card back in and power on. It should be completely cleared including the security password.
