My projector has little white dots that appear on a black or dark background, I've replaced the bulb and still have the same issue.I've read someone say the something about cleaning the light engine, is that possible and how hard would that be for an infocus in24 projector?

Take off the front bezel, then remove the screws from the lens, pull the lens out and blow it out with compressed air. Do not touch the mirror or magnifier inside. If this doesn't get all of the blemishes, then you will have to remove the top cover and then the top silver part of the engine and blow it out from the top.

I have nec np200 and there's a lot of dots appeared on the screen. what seems to be a problem

I have 2 NP-200 projectors installed in a school which show white dots on a black background and black dots on a white background. This is caused by the DMD chip losing pixels. Only solution is to replace the chip, I'm researching now if that i an economical solution.

Black dots projected on my 3m scp716 projector

Actually, this is a known issue with this specific model as 3M has acknowledged. We bought 4 of these and 3 have had to be replaced in 3 years because of this exact issue. It requires the mainboard to be replaced and it is almost as expensive to do this as to buy a new unit. 3M has been know help to us on this even through we bought the entire setup (Projector, Arm, Smartboard) and spent over $15000.

Your DMD chip or DMD driver need to be checked. The most likely it is DMD. If your projector is new with one year warranty, send it to the company for repairs. They will replace it at no cost.
