Can I use a sigma flash EF 500 with Sony Alpha 350

Unfortunately, the manual for this model is no longer available online (even on the Sigma website). Try searching torrent sites and ebay as a last resort.

This Sigma flash is not Ittl compatible. The D300 and D200 Nikon must have Ittl compatible flash to operate in any of the Automatic modes. It is a great flash but will not work on those two cameras.

I have a sigma EF 500 ST flash guns which I bought with nikon F75 some years ago. Would this flash work with canon 500d

Try cleaning the contacts on the lens with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol.

A: For Sigma issue:

The Sigma EF-500 flashes have very small chromed contacts for the batteries. Even though they may not look corroded, they may not power up or conduct enough power to fully cycle up. Use a polishing tip in a dremel or an ink eraser tip to clean the internal wire contacts and the flat contacts on the door. I use dielectric grease on a q-tip to apply a coat to all contacts and cleaned battery terminals to minimise future issues.

If it is a dynax compatable lens it should work The really old 75-300 shiny black finish will not work
and can not be rechiped

I had the same thing happen. Sent it into Sigma, they replaced it for 50 bucks.

send it to a sigma agent thay can replace the broken part

I've got the same problem with my new ef 500 dg super and my ef 530 dg super. It occurs on all nikon camera's I could get.
D70, D80 and Fuji S5 Pro. I don't have this problem with an old (4 years) sigma ef 500 dg super.
I will try to contact Sigma for this problem.
