This player can store 20 preset FM stations. Go to this Phillips WEB site to download a user manual. It will give instruction on how to tune your player to FM stations. http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/s/sa1vbe08w_97/sa1vbe08w_97_dfu_aen.pdf
I have a Philips go-gear 4GB player. There is no charger included. To charge the player, use any firewire/USB cable and connect the device to a PC or laptop. While the device is charging, the battery icon is blinking. When it is fully charged, the battery icon will stay static.
To copy to the device, open Windows explorer. Look for the Philips Go-gear folder icon. Open the Philips folder and Copy you music files inside the device's my music folder. If the file is video, copy the file in the my video folder.
Once the device is fully charged, disconnect the device by right-clicking on the Safely Remove Hardware icon on lower right portion of your PC screen. Select Safely remove hardware then Choose the philips go-gear device to eject.
Power on the device then use the navigation keys to select the files you like to play. Click ok or the play button.
Hi
To add videos to your go gear follow these simple steps--- 1 Start the Windows Media Player 11. 2 Connect the player to your computer using the supplied USB cable. 3 Once the player is connected, the sync tab changes and the device and its contents become visible in Windows Media Player 11. 4 Windows Media Player 11will automatically start synchronizing the contents of your music library to your player.
Please see these links for details--- Video Transfer in philips go gear SA6045
Hope this helps....
That's an I/O error, which indicates a problem communicating with your player over USB. Try connecting your player to other USB ports on your computer, especially the ones on the back panel. Also verify that the USB cable isn't damaged. Finally, after trying these options, try resetting your player (consult the user manual).
You have to install the Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter that came with the installation CD - if you have lost the CD, you can actually get the new, upgraded Media Converter from www.usasupport.philips.com. The Media Converter can't handle full-length movies - it is more for shorter, You-Tube style videos. If the Media Converter doesn't recognize your videos, first get a free FLV codec online. If it still does not recognize the videos, download Riva FLV Encoder and convert any non-recognized video to AVI format. Then the Philips Media Converter will recognize the video, and you can run it through the converter. The Philips website also has a link to the full user guide which explains some of this, if you have lost the user manual.
You must use Windows Media Player, because the Musicmatch service that it was originally tied to was discontinued in October 2007. Manuals and software can be found at www.usasupport.philips.com
