I was given the dvd player without a manual. I have the connections hooked up to AV2 connection and it runs but I can't figure out how to get the picture to show on the TV. I would appreciate any help you may be able to give me.

Hello You haven't given any specifications about your tV here. Anyway, you can hook up the DVD player to TV using an AV cable. The AV cable will have three cables together with two RCA connections at each end of each cable. Look at the colour of them. Usually one Red, one White and an other will be yellow. Just connect them to the sockets of both DVD and TV accordingily, and switch ON both devices, select the tV input to AV1 or AV2. If all the connections are correct, you will see the logo of Mitsubishi on TV screen. This is the picture of AV cable. OK.
If you connect a scart lead from the sky box,the one marked vcr, connect the other end into the dvd in the one marked av2.You then select av2 on the dvd,put the sky on play and the dvd on record
connect up your scart lead, from the scart socket on dvd player to the scart socket on tvyer. There are usually to sockets to connect to on the tv, it will be AV1 or AV2. To view dvd, press source button on tv remote to select AV channel you have connected the dvd played to.
You have to make sure that the RCA cables are properly connected to the TV. Check the TV/Mode if it's set to AV1 (Audio/Video1) or AV2. You may check the TV remote to set it to AV1 or AV2.
From the DVD, the cable should be connected to OUT. And on the TV...video and audio should be connected to IN.
Are you reffering to your DVD player to be conected to with your TV screen?
For DVD player connection the 3 colored RCA jack socket are:
YELLOW = video out RED and WHITE = Audio out (left and right channels)
to hook up to your screen, at the back of the screen or side of it you'll see RCA socket indicating "AV1" "AV2" AV3" this are all Audio/video inputs where you can hook up all you A/V device or game consoles. These inputs also have the same 3 colored socket (yello = video red/white = audio) connect your DVD player to any of this input following the same color code. After connecting the cable, select the input where you hook up your dvd player. Do this by pressing "A/V" buttons in remote commander of your TV. continously press this button until it reaches the exact location where you plug your player ex. AV1, AV2,AV3
note: in some cases the remote commander doesn't indicate this A/V button but a picture of a box having a arrow pointing inside the box.
honey and guest: connections: Red, white, and yellow composite from out of cable/sat box to in of this dvd, and then a 2nd red , white and yellow cable from out of this player to in on television. Every television calls the correct channel something different - make note of where you plug the r,y,w cables to TV -- it may be labelled video1, video 2, av1, av2, input1, ext 1, etc. Turn tv to correct input/av/source/video channel. Brad, AV-1 INPUT, be advised this will use up the AV1 port so if you have another item that uses regular AV cables you`ll then have to use AV2 for the video in and L&R audio in, enjoy, BMW Rider
