The tv power supply board is likely the problems and the causes. That the board, where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
Connect tv directly to socket without any powerboards and make sure the power cord is properly inserted (if it works than any powerboard you have been using is probably faulty)
Try a different power cord
See if socket is dead using another appliance. If another appliance works then the Tv is probably damaged (refer to warranty if applicable)
if other appliances don't work in that socket check your fuse box.
If fuse box is fine then try a different socket (if it works you may need to get an experienced person to fix the socket your trying to plug the tv into)
hi,
you can try using a good quality surge strip on the tv. if that doesent do it you could try a different outlet on the other side of the room, or try using an outlet from a different room(long extension cord) if that doesent do it you may have to move the tv to another wall.

You will need to remove the back of the TV. Don't worry, it's not that bad.
There are 4 screws across the top, one on each side, one right next to
where the power cord goes into the back of the case, and the two more
by all of the video connections **These are the most important to
remove because they attach the main board to the back of the case.
Once you have remove the screws then the entire back of the set will
slide off. If you look where the power cord attaches to the board you
will see a small fuse. This is a 6.3 Amp 125 volt fuse. You can replace
it with a 6.3 Amp 250 volt fuse from your local Radio Shack. A four
pack costs between $3 and $5.
Make sure that you check that it works before putting it all back
together. Check for any loose connection cables while you're back
there. I found a few when I did this.
