My handycam dcr hc21 screen wouldn't work when you touched it. i followed the directions and reset the camera. now the screen has the reset screen and i can't refigurate it. please help

Hi Alisa,

You have broken fine flex cable between your screen and board/PCB causing your touch screen ****** to work. So first of all you need to replace the cable first with new one.

My sony handycam DCR-HC21 video camera's touch screen just stopped working. How much would it cost to repair this? I believe it could be a problem with the flex cable or the lcd.

the price depend on your country,as me charge 5000 for changing the flex if it is the flex that is faulty

I reset my Sony DCR-HC21 and now the LCD screen doesn't respond to my touch. It's just stuck on the date/time screen. I tried to do the calibration, per the user manuel, but I can't get to the calibration...

there is a problum in side the camera one is ffc whicis connect the lcd to main board if no then lcd it self having problum because thes tuch switches are in side the lcd please go to your nearst sony service centre & fix this problum

Hi there,
The problem you have on your Handycam is the flex cable FP-835.
You have to open the camera and change the cable.
It´s very easy to change.

The buttons on my lcd screen does not work anymore. I tried calibrating it, but it just stays in calibrating mode as if it is not calibrating. this is for the DcR hc21

hi, if your lcd's touchscreen is not working only,then not to worry about just replace the lcd flap and its done,its very easyly avilable and easy to replace

The touch screen is not working. After resetting

If the buttons on the touch-panel LCD screen do not respond correctly or do not work at all, adjust the LCD screen calibration. Consult the instruction manual if specific information is required to perform this procedure.
NOTE: The touch-panel LCD screen cannot be calibrated if it is rotated.

The touch screens in these can shift. Can you rotate the screen and get the screen to work? if so it's possible if your skilled to recenter the screen then resecure it. of course you might end up having to replace it. I have replaced more of them than recentering them . Larry's Electronics [email protected]
