As long as you are able to complete the sale normally (or use the no sale function), the problem is usually due to a locked cash drawer or something jamming the plastic insert inside the drawer. ----------
You can use any of the Casio drawers that have the same connection as the standard drawer. Alternatively, you can use any 24volt drawer in other brands if you change the drawer connector. You may have to make a new base for the register but that is not a big issue. good luck

Basically any DL drawer with the same connection on it as the one you have. Sometimes the register may not sit perfectly on top - some drawers have holes to secure the feet of the register, but it should be able to open the drawer.

On most drawers, the key is only used to lock the drawer to prevent it being opened. If you want to open the drawer manually, this cannot be done with the key. You should find a trigger under the drawer for this. If you are sure that you want to lock the drawer then you will need to order a key from a dealer.

Now turn back to REG mode when entering the price, DO NOT use a decimal, so type 2000 for 20 dollars. Now press a PLU (item) button. Try this:
Turn key to program mode
0
CASH
SUBTOTAL
3

This should remove the preset amount from the CASH button. Now it should work normally when finishing the sale.

You have to close the cash drawer to make a sale. E11 means drawer open while sale in progress. If that doesn't fix it, check the wiring to the drawer, especially the brown wire.

Most common reason is the plastic pin that holds the latch in the back of the drawer has come out. You can usually press it back in to fix it.

The latch is probably broken or disassembled in the back of the drawer. Also, make sure the trigger between the back two feet is not sitting on anything that might be pressing it.
