What you need is a LOW PROFILE graphics card. nVidia and ATI make many of them and for some silly reason usually cost a small amount more than a standard sized video card.
My wife has the Emachines EL1333g-01w and after i tried to install my old graphics card, a GeForce 9500GT, and discovered it does in fact have a PCIe slot, but the tiny size of the tower makes finding a card that fits difficult. You're gonna need a graphics card that is short and skinny or you won't be able to fit it in there, and on that note, a GeForce 9500GT does NOT fit in there. So yes, it is possible to expand the graphics, but I have no clue what card to use as of yet.
Google both "PCIe" and " AGP " in images to see what one best matches your old graphics card. After that you can go on newegg.com or another electronics store, even possibly a bestbuy and purchase a card with the same style of port. If you do not have a PCIe or a AGP slot on your machine then you may not be able to upgrade the graphics.
