How to restring two-string weed eater - lost the directions. Electric two-string Black & Decker weed eater

when you are holding the spool on which you wind the string wind the string on in a anticlockwise direction
if it uses 2 strings ( one out of each side of the spool
wind in both strings together in the anticlockwise direction
that way , when you put the spool in the head and go to use it , the string is wound the right way to feed out and not get tangled

Not avoiding the answer but if you google (" re-string a weed wacker video?" ), you can watch a video of how to do it, which may be a lot easier to understand when you see it.

Here is the instruction manual direct from Black & Decker for the GH1000 XP model. You may or may not have the twin string head, but all instruction manuals are available from their site. As close as I can figure, this pertains to your model.

Probably wound backwards. Follow the arrow on the spool for both. Both SAME rotation.

I bought the electric grasshog trimmer. Worst investment I ever made on Garden supplies. The line is completely gong within ten feet of trimming. I've used it four times and gone through twenty spools. In the trash now.

I just assume you used stronger line on an autofeed string trimmer.

unscrew the knob on the bottom(turn cc wise) pull bobbin straight out . To restring pull start rope gently to see what direction it turns and wrap string in the opposite direction. Re insert the string into the corresponding hole(s) and screw up knob by hand until tight.
