You just need to go to the BELKIN Support website and select your exact model of USB adapter as well as the operatin system that your computer is running. Here is the link to the support website:
Just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated.
When you find the driver for your model of USB adapter, just download the file and run it, then follow the onscreen instructions to install your USB adapter.
1.Visit: www.belkin.com/support 2. On the top right corner, there will be a search by keyword, a small rectangular blue box 3. In that, type in: F5D7050 and press enter 4. It will give you search results, select the result that says "Drivers". 5. Select the appropriate version for your model. Belkin has 5 versions for the same model. Check for FCC no. on your device. There would be a table on that web page. 6. Verify, download and install
if you need the driver for that wireless card, they have different names, it's name is on a label on the wireless card you can search google, you might find the driver for it there
Belkin dosent seem to have your model (anymore??)
But here is the link to contact them: http://www.belkin.com/support/contact/email/technicalsupport/
Bye the way, I WOULD NOT install the wireless software on a wireless pc, as configuring a Router with a wireless conection is bound to create problems, - take it from someone who KNOWS.
I just noticed that it is a 802.11a/ . "a" wireless products do not work correctly and you need an "a" router to connect to. The "g" protocol is the most common and reliable.
If it is a new adapter, I would return it and get a 802.11 g adapter, not a USB.. they cost about $20.
The drivers available from Belkin are exactly the same drivers as are on the PC. Someone emailing you the drivers isn't going to get you any closer to a solution if you haven't got the ones you downloaded to work.
One problem you might be having is that the driver isn't the correct version. Belkin have five different versions of drivers for the five different versions of that model of card. Make sure you're using the right one. An article about the method of identifying your particular model, together with links to the various software packages can be found at http://www.belkin.com/support/article/?lid=en&aid=5381
I've not had any issues like you described using the in-built Windows
wireless client. So my suggestions involves removing the Belkin software and
retrying with the built-in software:
1. Try and uninstall the Belkin client software
2. Check to see if the WZCSVC service is running
You can check this by issuing the following command:
a) net start
b) sc query wzcsvc
Both command should list some info about WZCSVC (Wireless Zero
Configuration) if it is running.
3. If your wireless card is installed successfully, you should see a
antenna-type icon in the system tray.
If not, you need to install the drivers for the card manually. Check
the Belkin CD for drivers.
4. If you can see your new router's SSID (wireless name) then you should be
able to see it as a non-admin as well.
5. Failing all of this, retry the Belkin client software and its
documentation for indication on non-admin issues or ways to use the above
mentioned Windows wireless client.
Hi,
Today after reading all the craps from the internet, i went to the toilet and think a little bit and i did find a solution for all the pain of the BELKIN F5D7050:
1. Find which one is your wireless adaptor.
easy just mach it with the table below
Version
FCC ID
1xxx
K7SF5D7050
2xxx
K7SF5D7050A
3xxx
K7SF5D7050B
4xxx
RAXWN4501H
5xxx
K7SF5D7050E
the only thing that connects the printer to the internet fault is the fact that the printer and your belkin are both usb connected.
If you are using a laptop then it could be a usb power problem and the motherboard is disconnecting the belkin adapter for some reason, the only one i can think of is a power problem.
The same can apply to a desktop pc if there is a usb problem
Firsly i assume you are using the belkin software to connect the usb adapter to the router, so on your taskbar on the right there is normally the little aerial type icon for the belkin adapter and a little pc screen showing the connection also, if you right click on one of theses icons you should get a line reading 'enable windows WZC', if you do get the option enable it and try using the windows connection software instead of the belkin as it may stop the disconnecting.
Also ensure that when you installed the software to your printer your firewall and antivirus was dissabled as certain elements to the driver may not have been installed.
Lasly, try using different usb ports if you have spare ones, with both the printer and the adapter as sometimes the chip on the board may be instructing the usb ports incorrectly as to which is required first, as windows asks for certain things eg input/output ports to be used first,in other words the IRQ (interupt request) may be causing the problem.
how to downd the belkin program
