Check first if battery is ok, maybe your problem is your barrel, if barrel not function properly you need to change motor or barrel allignment. if barrel is ok you have short circuit in your assy pcb main.

Samsung Digimax S800 camera won't turn on. Beeps three times.

This explains the 3 beeps. also says you can get it repaired which is by far the best option. The behaviour is very typical of low battery state. Try a set of Lithium batteries.

Samsung Digimax S800 has lens stuck in open position. Replaced with fresh alkaline batteries, pressed on button, screen lit up for a second or so, turned off and gave 3 beeps. Any ideas? Thanks, Kevin

Did you accidentally drop it? If you did then there is a big chance that the lens is busted. If you didn't drop it, then it could be just dust/dirt inside the lens mechanism. Hold your camera with the lens facing the ground and then repeatedly tap it your camera gently - moderately to remove the dirt. You can also try spraying compressed air into it.

My Samsung Digimax S800 Camera, when push power bottom, the camera green lite near power button and camera bleeps twice. Then turn off. Zoom len is fully extended. Chnage Battery three times.

this problem is a is usual occurrence when the camera is not well powered.
ie. the battery might not have enough charge on it or might have gone bad and require you to replacei it.

please ensure you get the battery with right voltage and wattage, the required is usually written around or in the battery compartment.

Samsung digimax s800 not swiching on

The problem is that the lens is jammed. I had to take my camera apart to unjam mine manually, the cogs that move the lens are not lined up with each other, thats why you hear the motor turning and then you get the 3 beeps because the lens hasnt initialised

My samsung digimax s800 won't turn on,the batterys are ok

the lens mechanism is not initialising, the cogs that move the lens are out of alignment slightly. you colud try and fix this yourself by taking the camera apart and realigning it manually, or sometimes you can get hold of the prodtruding lens and gently pull, be carefull !! you might hear a grinding noise as you pull this is just the main lens cog turning. once fully out put batterys back in and give it a go

S800 powers on and goes off, lens stuck zoomed out.

i had the same problem with my samsung s800 camera (from new!!!) draining batteries quickly and then being left with the lense out, i took the camera back to where i got it from (argos) and after being asked if i was sure i was putting charged batteries in they sent it away for repair and it turned out that the lense mechanism was broken, i think they charged me £10 to get it fixed but i have had no problems since then.

Samsung S800

Lens mechanism can be stuck. Try gently to drag or straighten it.

Jammed camera

A temporary fix to power up is to press the menu and power button at the same time. When the lens is extended and it beeps, on my camera , the lens is *stuck* Give it a gentle tug , then try the power button again
