HD screen split into 3 small screens!

Having trouble with HD - when the TV is used with HDMI cable, the screen splits into 3 sections (3 mini-screens vertically). When you use regular AV cables or coaxial cable, screen is fine, but no HD. Any ideas??

The source display is set wrong. You'll need to disable 1080p on the source and/or limit it to the display capabilities of the set.

Hi.i can't split the screen on the ps3 when playing mine craft.to add a second player.my settings must be wrong somewhere?

To split the screen for a player 2 in Minecraft for the ps3 version, you must use a cable with the colors red, blue, and green, OR an HDMI cable to connect to your TV. If you are using another type of cable, you are out of luck.

We have xbox360 it's hooked up to sansui sledvd244 how do i get split screen so there can 2 players please help

Minecraft Xbox 360 is a multiplayer game by default. Players can join online or locally via connected controllers. Split screen is a way to play multiplayer on the same console. To play split screen, the Xbox must be outputting a resolution of 720p or higher.
you must have an HD TV for split screen. Connect Xbox to tv with an HDMI cable. Start mine craft when you've logged on with your first controller enter your desired world then pause the game. Turn on and sync your other controllers if they haven't been connected before.Log in those controllers and press Resume Game.
  • Your television screen should be split into two or four parts depending on how many controllers are connected.

I have a Toshiba tv that is connected to Direct tv and I want to know how to connect my new Phillips dvd player to it my tv?

Flat screens normally have 3 different inputs from tv. Regular is tv coax cable, then audio/picture by using special rca cables, then last HDMI. You can use any of those inputs except hdmi because you already are using that input. You may be able to buy a hdmi splitting device that will allow both the tv and the player to input to the single hdmi input. Check Radio Shack or Wal-Mart.

Dish HD-DVR connected to a Denon 3808ci via an HDMI cable. Problem is periodically, the screen goes black for a split second and then comes back. Rewind and play again the blackout doesn't repeat. When...

Your'e losing digital data from Dish or the DVR. Since even live TV is through the DVR it is always a potential problem when anything glitches. That it doesn't repeat on immediate rewind/playback says the data made it to the hard drive ok.

The Denon is only defaulting back to an analog audio feed upon loss of the digital (preferred) one.

If it affects the video AND audio simultaneously the cause is something common to them.

I'd look at HDMI cabling into the Denon from the DVR.

Don't blame the Denon just yet.

My $.02:

I'd skip the video right past the Denon to the TV/Monitor even if it means using component cables instead of HDMI, but keep digital audio coming in from the DVR. Added cabling and connections never improve anything. Plus, HDMI cables are expensive.

It would be interesting to see if the problem comes back and affects only the audio or the video.

If you use optical cable make sure it has smooth flowing curves and no small-radius bends that would lose light power.

Viewsonic vx2265wm screen with the PS3

I have the same problem! I'm using the HDMI-DVI cable that came with the monitor because it lacks an actual HDMI port. DVI is the big port with the grid, right? Anyways, is there a way to put monitor Drivers on the PS3? The monitor doesn't have a menu so I can't manually resize. Also, LittleBigPlanet automatically splits like 720p whenever I play it.

Split screen question

Ah split screen just another way of getting two picture in one screen, or sport for he and Opra for her.
Fisrt you must understand what split screen is, it is taking two information from different source and sending the info to the micro to devide the info for two seperat image.
Well something like that but I know you were inpress,
Yes you can. Take the main source you or using I would say the TV box in cable connection or av1 and then your DVD or and VCR to source av2 or 3. When presing split screen or pip you will get one screen showing the main source your tv box and the second your dvd (or VCR) in the source input solector you should be able to change the second amage input with input solector and the tv box change the other.
Oh what a butiful life aint it.
Try this with 7 different source, Cable, satelite, fta, dvd, camera, gaming sytem, and computor,... well that another chapter.

When switching from any input to HDMI I get a split screen

Are you tring the same sorce for the component (colorstream) as with the HDMI? What is the resolution you are using? The possibility is that the sorce could be the issue or the TV might need a software upgrade to fix any HDMI issues.
