Panasonic KX-NT136-B Hybrid IP Telephone - Black Logo
Posted on Apr 22, 2010

We have a Panasonic KX-NT136 in our office. When an outside call would come in, a light would flash on the bottom left line button to show the operator was receiving a call. If she did not answer after 3 rings, then my phone would ring and I would answer the call to help the operator out. Now suddenly, my phone does not flash to show the outside call and does not ring thru with an outside call. Does anyone know what I need to do to get this back?

Some one has removed you from the incoming ring group. You need to be added back in or a new number is being used and is not pointed at the same ring group

SOURCE: KX-T7633 Voicemail rings

The Voice Mail feature is set by your phone company, not by the phone. Typically the phone company will set it for 20 seconds, or approximately 4 rings. This is called your voice mail "Ring Cycle"

Call them up (the customer service number should be on your phone bill) and they should be able to increase or decrease your ring cycle for you at no charge.

Panasonic KX-T7730, we have a 824 phone system and cordless handsets (kx-tg1711) we cannot make outgoing calls on these handests but can take incoming calls and can transfer calls. how do we programme

  • Locate the program and auto-store button on your telephone. You will be using these to customize many of the features on your KX-T7730. The program button is used to enter or exit programming.

  • 2

Program your outgoing line preference, i.e., the line you prefer to seize when you go off hook. Press "Program" "1" "1" "store" for no line. Press "Program" "1" "2" "Store" for an idle outside line. Press "Program" "1" "3" "Outside Line Number" "Store" for an assigned outside line. The outside line number will be a single or double-digit number that is set through your phone system.

  • 3

Program your incoming line preference, i.e., the line you prefer to answer when you go off hook. Press "Program" "2" "1 "Store" for no line. Press "Program "2" "2" "Store" for ringing line. Press "Program" "3" "Outside Line Number" "Store" for an assigned outside line.

  • 4

Program your flexible CO buttons. These are the inner row of 12 lighted buttons. Your outside lines need to be programmed to these--you can choose any of these 12 buttons in any order. Press "Program" "CO Button" "0" "Outside Line Number" "Store." The outside line number will be a single or double-digit number that is set through your phone system.

  • 5

Program any other unused flexible CO buttons for an extension number or any frequently dialed phone number. Press "Program" "CO button" "1" "Extension Number" "Store" or "Program" "CO Button" "2" "9 + Phone Number" "Store". A "9" must be entered at the beginning of a phone number to tell your phone system to seize an outside line before dialing, e.g., "9-1-212-555-1234."

  • 6

Locate the programmable feature buttons (the row of 12 solid buttons on the right). These buttons are basically one-touch buttons that can be set for extension numbers or phone numbers. Press "Program" "(PF) Button" "Extension Number" "Store" or "Program" "(PF) Button" "9 + Phone Number" "Store." Remember to press "Program" again to exit programming.

  • 7

Locate your "FWD/DND" button. This button is used for setting "Call Forward" or "Do Not Disturb" on your telephone. To set call forwarding, go "off-hook" either by lifting the receiver or pressing speakerphone. Make sure you go to intercom and not an outside line. To forward all calls, go off-hook, press "FWD/DND" "1" "extension number" (the extension number that you wish to forward all your calls to) "#". After you hear a confirmation tone, place the receiver on-hook. The steps to set call forwarding for busy/no answer are the same as above, except you will press "2" in place of "1". To cancel call forwarding, press "0" in place of "1".

  • 8

Program "Do Not Disturb," which stops your phone from ringing--any callers will just hear a DND tone. To program, go off-hook, press "Program" "4" "#" on-hook, to set. Press "0" instead of "4" to cancel.

  • 9

Locate the message button--this works in coordination with your message light at the top right of your telephone. If the light is lit, press "message" to hear a message left to you either by another extension or a voice mail system. The message button can only be programmed as a message or one-touch button. To program as a message, press "Program" "Message" "3" "Store." To program as a one-touch, press "Program" "Message" "1" "Extension Number" or "Program" "Message: "2" "9 + phone number."

  • 10

Return your KX-T7730 to its default settings by pressing "Program" "#" "*" "Store."

I set the One-Touch Dialling to CO. Please teach me how to cancel this setting.

The only buttons you can set to CO are the left side buttons with lights, so assuming that, press PROGRAM the button dial 2 STORE. That clears the button. Now, just in case you lost the sequence of buttons for outside lines, from the bottom press the left side buttons and read them. If they're not in 1234 sequence, dial 0x STORE to restore the CO line that belongs there.

At work we have a panasonic kx-t7668 telephone. I have followed the instructions on (one-touch dialing), but now when we have incoming calls in the office i dont have a red light that flashes at me, so i...

Did you do something stupid like program over the top of the buttons? Press PROGRAM and, starting from the bottom press a button, then dial 0 01 STORE Move up the line and press 0 02 STORE etc. Do that for however many lines you have and it puts the lines back into the Single-CO sequence that you probably started with. (PROGRAM is done from an idle phone and you press PROGRAM to exit).

Panasonic KX-NT136 - how do you page directly to another extension and begin talking to the other person without them picking up?

It's not called page, it's INTERCOM. On the face of most Panasonic phones, there's a button labeled AUTO ANS. When you press it, it lights up. If the options are set properly, it becomes the Voice Announce/Auto Answer button. Every phone you want to have the VA feature on has to have that button lit. When you call them on the intercom, it will beep twice and your voice will be on the set and they may or may not be able to answer back handsfree.

It requires system programming and theere's a code you can dial to block it.

I did something at my program PITS no and now the outside line number 5 does not connect me to exchange Model Panasonic KX T7730. how to factory reset? regards Yaseen H.

I don't know about "factory" but press PROGRAM, and start at the bottom left by pressing buttons. The display should start reading CO1...CO6. If it doesn't, when you get to the 5th line dial 05 STORE. That puts CO5 back in 5th position.
