The buttons - zoom, Menu/OK, up, left, right all don't work but F, down and show pics do work. Can't tell if Disp/Back works or not. It is an F460 digital camera and the card has been emptied but not formatted
Re: zoom, Menu/OK, up, left, right all don't work but
Try moving down, and then moving up. Similarly, try moving the opposing directions for left and right. If there is no way to go in a certain direction, on a certain screen, it will appear that the button isn't working. I think you can solve it now. I have faith in you.

Press Menu/OK. Use the zoom rocker to select the icons in the bottom of the monitor. 2nd symbol from the left is the selftimer. Set Selftimer to ON and press the shutter button. It will give a 10 secs. delay. You can cancel the selftimer with the Disp/back button. The selftimer has to be activated for every shot.
If you mean while you're trying to take a picture, one configuration option for the F700 is to turn off the LCD when
taking pictures and use the view finder-- this saves battery power. If
you press the DISP button to the right of the LCD should turn on. . To
turn the LCD back on-- Press MENU/OK (you should see the SELF TIMER
screen). Press RIGHT ARROW to select the SET option. Press UP ARROW to
select the SETUP option. Press MENU/OK. You should see the SET-UP
screen. Use the UP/DOWN Arrows to navigate the options; use the
LEFT/RIGHT Arrows to cycle through the options. The IMAGE DISP and the
LCD options control when the LCD is powered on.

Kyle850. I have a fujifilm finepix camera myself, and just recently had the same problem. The camera worked fine until one day I turned it on to take a picture and there was the "card not initialized" message. To fix the problem, just turn on your camera, push the menu button and use the right/left arrow buttons near the zoom button in the top left corner of the camera. Push the right arrow button until you come to the "option" window in the camera's view finder and use the "up" function of the zoom to highlight the "set-up" window. Press "ok", and use the right arrow button scoll over to the "2" tab and press the ok button again. Then use the "up/down" function of the zoom button to scroll down to the "format" tab. Press ok button again and use the "left" button near the zoom in and out button to highlight the "ok" option in the format window. By pressing the ok button here, it will reformat and reinitialize your picture card. If you do have pics already on your pic card, you may want to take your pic card to a photo center and see about recovering these pics before you go through the reformat process because there is a good chance that when you reformat your pic disk any pics on it will be gone. Good luck. SG
