Need a region code for DVD player LG HT352SD - LG HT503TH Theater System

To change the region code on your LG DP132H-NU DVD/CD player, you will need to follow these steps:

1. Turn off the DVD/CD player and unplug it from the power outlet.
2. Press and hold the "Stop" button on the player.
3. While still holding the "Stop" button, plug the player back in and turn it on.
4. When the player powers on, the region code will be displayed on the screen.
5. Use the "Up" or "Down" arrow buttons on the player to select the desired region code.
6. Press the "Enter" button to confirm the new region code.
7. Turn off the DVD/CD player and unplug it again.
8. Plug the player back in and turn it on. The new region code should now be in effect.

Keep in mind that most DVD/CD players are only designed to play DVDs and CDs that are encoded for the region in which they were purchased. If you try to play a DVD or CD that is encoded for a different region, it may not work properly or may not work at all.

If you know how to access the region code, then I suggest you give it the code for "0" then you will not need to change it again. It should play back all.

You may need to look through the manual book of your dvd player and maybe you will find the answer you need sometimes you might have to call the 800 number on the back of the manual book so they can better assist you.

Ok so here is how it was done.

Press the Pause button on your remote control. Using your remote control enter the code 3, 1, 4, 1, 5 and 9, Press the 0 button on your remote control for Region free, 1 for Region 1 or 2 for Region 2. Press the Pause button on your remote control. Power off your player and wait a few seconds. Power on your player
Or
Press the Setup button on your remote control then, Step, Next, Up and Down, select the region of your choice or Bypass for region free, save and then Exit the menu.

Region code hack posted by hackaroto, December 27 2010:

1. Switch off the DVD player in to Stand By mode
2. Open the DVD tray using the remote control
3. Press "pause" in the remote
4. Enter 0, 0, 0, 0 (zero 4 times)
5. The display should indicate the regional code set in the DVD and prompts for the new regional code.
6. Enter the new regional code
7. Press Pause to exit the setup
8. Switch off the DVD using the remote and wait for a while before switching it on again.

To make this player region free (or change the region), do the following:

* Ensure that there is no disc in the player (ie: "no disc" is displayed).
* Press PAUSE
* Enter 314159
* Enter the region code (0 for region free, or 1-6).
* Press PAUSE
* Turn the player off for a few seconds.
* Turn the player back on
* Voila! You beauty!!

hi juferrer,i guess the dvd u have brought is from a foreign one. Region coding is how Hollywood studios stagger dvd movie releases across the planet. These codes ensure that one country doesn't get a DVD movie before the same movie is out in that country's theatres. In their corporate omniscience, movie studios have carved the planet into regions with each region having a specific code.

All DVD players and discs have region codes. A DVD player and disc must be of the same region or the disc will not play.

If you want to watch movies from other countries, you need a multiregion DVD player. This will allow you to play any disc from any region. However, because TV standards differ, you might need a specialized NTSC/SECAM/PAL TV or a DVD player that can output any signal to the standard your TV accepts.hope u get the point.

The following hack worked for my player. It works for most LG and Aiwa players too. To hack the player try this:

• Power on player with no disc inserted and wait for "No Disc" message on screen
  
• (using the remote) Press PAUSE
  
• Press the numbers 314159 in order. (player should now show "COdE - -" the same as below)
  
• Press the number of the region you desire ( 0 = any region, 1 = US&Canada etc.)
  
• Press PAUSE
  
• Power off the player for a few seconds..power back up and insert your DVD disc
