This indicates a tape loading error. The tape is going in crooked, it cannot move the tape out of the cartridge or the motors do not move correctly.
It will need service.

It has a tape transport problem. It shuts off to avoid any damage. It probably is not loading the cassette all the way in.

SOURCE: VCR tape loads and runs about 5-10 sec; then ejects

you need to clean the vcr with a cleaner that you can buy at a store. If that doesnt work then you need to take the 4 or 5 skrews out that hold the top on and look at the motor and gears move while you put a tape in and you should spot the problem pretty quick. It'll be with the round metal wheel that turns the tape.

SOURCE: VHS tape will not eject.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, the top cover must be removed. Theis would allow you to:

  • manually eject the tape by turning the worn gear/mechanism. The only problem would be slack on the tape causing creases;
  • check/replace belt(s).
Check and perform preliminary visual or necessary inspection. Pls post back result(s). Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

How to eject a stuck vhs tape.

I will show you how to eject a stuck vhs tape. I did this on the sony slv-d300p first, unplug it. Next, take out all the screws on the back. Take off the cover. Locate the loading motor on the right. Turn the gears next to it. After about 5 minutes, the tape should eject. While its open, take a CLEAN piece of paper, hold it up to the drum, and rotate it with the paper against the back. after 5 minutes, take the paper off and stop spinning. the paper may be dirty. put the cover back on, and try to put in a vhs c adapter with NO vhs c in it. when you put it in, it should spit it back out.

Power off when inserting vhs tape

I had this problem when copying an old family vhs tape. I had to unscrew the top of the magnavox to access the vhs tape. Then, I gently removed the tape and replaced the cover. After winding the tape back, I put it in the player and immediately pushed fast forward for about 3 seconds before hitting play followed by d.dubbing. I was able to make a copy of the tape and did not damage my original.

I recenly purchased a DV225MG9 A DVD/CD Player with Video Cassette Recorder. After only a few hours of use, the power will not turn on. I now have a VHS cassette that is in the machine and I cannot

1) this a difficult matter since the VHS TAPE is inside.Try to unplugged the EQUIPMENT many times and eject the button for to see if eject the TAPE.
2) put a little of alcohol with a jeringa in switch eject, and try it.
3) if this do not RESOLVE the problem, you take to cut the tape, or dissasembley the section, or go to some repair shop TV for fix it.
Remember unplugged the power cord before to do anything inside of equipment.
You have the option too to call to the supplier and get customer support via online chat for help, or service.

God bless you

Vcr cuts my tv off after i put the tape in

The VCR is not turning the TV power off. The tape is not playing. I'd guess maybe it needs a cleaning or a replacment.
