My washer is very very loud during its spin cycle

There are a number of things that can do this. For a top-load machine, an out-of balance load can get noisy. Many GE washers have bungee-cord type straps at the top of the tub to dampen out-of-balance gyrations. If these break, you get a lot of rattling. Other washers (some older Kenmore models for example) have a spring-and-bar arrangement under the tub. If this freezes up due to rust, or something breaks, your washer will bounce a bit. Older Maytag washers may dance around if the baseplate is worn out. In all washers, bad tub bearings can make a racket; you will often have leakage as well.

My frigidaire GLTF1670ASO will not aggitate or spin. It will pump water in and out just wont spin.

Good Morning Carol, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

Often when your washer does not spin, it is because your appliance cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. Does your washer make a humming noise as well? If so, the drainage hose/pump may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, your washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair your washer.

Is some water in the tub of a top loading washer normal?

It is normal to have residual water in the drain lines and pump following a wash cycle. This is the low point of the drain cycle and gravity will ALWAYS cause some water to be there. As long as the water is not visible in the spin basket, you have nothing to worry about.

Some model washers also have a balance ring around the perimeter on top of the wash tub that is filled with fluid. This acts as a stabilizer to help keep the washer balanced during the spin cycle. If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this is helpful to you.

take the front bottom panel off. inside there is a drain pump. you need to remove filter from drain pump its look like a knob. be careful because their is water inside your drain pump so use some big thing for water. clean your filter. put filter back tight. i hope will solve your problem.

Kenmore Series 80 top loading washer that doesn't spin or agitate

Unplug machine, remove water pump and motor, behind the motor is a coupler, take broken parts to your local appliance parts store. Costs 16 bucks, replace the broken parts with new ones, reassemble machine. Never ever do a blanket/comforter in your machine again!!

Aggitator won't work and won't spin/ drains ok

Coupling is bad.
There is a coupling between the motor and the transmission. When this part breaks then it will pump the water out but won't spin or aggitate.
