Question about Televison & Video
I have a Samsung 46" HD Projection Tv that has developed first one small white spot on the screen and a second one appeared yesterday evening.
DLP/mirror chip is going bad. A common problem on Sammy TVs after 2-3 years. Chip is user replaceable (try samsungparts.com or ebay) for about $150-200. Sammy was (last year) repairing the DLP White Spot problem for free. You MUST talk to ECR (executive customer service) to even think about getting that consideration--forget the standard CS people. Don't know if they are still covering this out of warranty in 2010.

If you get White dots or spots on the screen this could be a dmd issue.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
