I would recommend buying a Printer parallel port connection (PCI to LTP1), install it into the system, and use the printer parallel cable.

Did you get the Vista driver for your machine from Panasonic? If not, it may not work. I use VM ware and run windows xp in virtual machine in order to use some of the older drivers.

Cables are available from a number of sources which will convert from a USB plug for your computer to a serial or parallel connector for your printer. (I don't remember for sure whether that Panasonic is serial or parallel. I think it's a parallel printer and uses a Centronics connector.) Do a search for "centronics to USB" or "serial to USB" and you will find links to a number of sources.

When you add the printer in Mac select Epson LQ850 driver or install the Generic Text driver. That is your most basic driver for all operating systems

If your looking for the printer driver, it should already be in the computer. Windows 2000, XP and Vista all come with the KX-P2023 driver pre-loaded. If you can't find it, you can use just about any of the KX-P2000 series drivers that are pre-loaded wqith Windows.
