I have an electrolux EWF 1282. I got an E20 error at the end of program. Washing was still wet. Took out filter and cleaned. Put filter back. Wanted to start the program again but it just makes a ''humming'' noice as if water is not coming in and program does not start. Technician came out when still under warrenty and he basically reset it. How would I reset the machine. thank you kindly
Turn the dial to off. Press and hold the start pause and the nearest option button. While you're holding them down, turn the dial one notch clockwise.
The machine will beep or flash, let go of the buttons. Release the buttons, then turn the dial slowly, stopping at each click until you get to "off". Now, turn to any setting, then turn to off.
Now, try the machine. If it works, I'm very happy. If not, perhaps someone else can help.

I understand that the filter has been cleaned, however, if you noticed a humming noise, it could either be a clogged drainage hose, or it could possibly have another issue with the door lock assembly. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose the washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.
