Hello, Barb.

Here are some instructions from the manual:

To set up a Bluetooth connection, do the following:
1. Select Menu > Settings >
Connectivity > Bluetooth.

2. To activate or deactivate the Bluetooth function, select
Bluetooth > On or Off.
Indicates an active Bluetooth connection.

3. To search for compatible Bluetooth audio devices, select
Search for audio enhancements and the device that you want to connect to the phone.
To search for any Bluetooth device in range, select Paired
devices. Select New to list any Bluetooth device in range.
Scroll to a device, and select Pair.

4. Enter the Bluetooth passcode of the device to associate (pair)
the device to your phone. You must only give this passcode when you connect to the device for the first time. Your phone connects to the device, and you can start data transfer.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: pair motorola H500 to samsung eternity SGH-A867

I have had this problem too. Here is what worked for me.

1) With the Motorola H500 OFF, press and hold the talk key until you see a steady, non-blinking blue light.
2) Keeping that button pressed, turn on the bluetooth on the samsung eternity.
3) It should now find the H500, click on it and select connect.
4) Put in a pass key (I just put in 0000) and your done.

I have a motorola bluetooth without the pairing code. Also I can not tell by looking at it what model it is ...it just says Motorola. it was my fathers and he can not find the book. Help I need it for work...

Bluetooth headsets have their pairing code hardcoded by their manufacturers. Most of them, choose '0000' (four zeros). Others choose '1234', whilst some of them use '8888'.
A bluetooth headset must be put in pairing mode, prior to its first connection to a bluetooth enabled device (e.g. phone, PC). All of them must be turned off before starting the pairing procedure. Some motorola headsets have a boom, which must be opened, in order for it to enter the pairing mode, whilst other headstets must have their Multi Function Button (MFB, or Call/End button) pressed and held for some 6 to 10 seconds. Their LED light use to indicate their pairing mode. Some of them flash rapidly (sometimes in more than one color), whilst others keep it solidly lit. Anyway, once your headset is in pairing mode, make your phone (or PC)'s bluetooth application search for new devices. After a while, your headset should appear on the device' screen. Select it and make the application connect. If a passkey (or PIN, or pairing code) is requested one of the codes I've suggested above.
The pairing procedure, between any two bluetooth enabled devices, should be done only once. All subsequent connections should be achieved by bring both devices, with their bluetooth radio turned on, close enough to each other. If their link is not automatically established, a simple press on the headset's MFB should be enough.
Hope you are able to pair your headset soon.
Regards, Carlos

I am unable to pair my motorola blue tooth with my LG Wine

You must enter the default Bluetooth pairing code, on your phone, when prompted. The code is 0000 (four zeros).

For your reference, the brand of a Bluetooth device has nothing to do with compatibility. Bluetooth Corporation licenses its technology to many other companies. Devices using Bluetooth technology must conform to the Bluetooth standards. So, a Motorola Bluetooth device will definitely pair with your LG phone, or any other brand of phone supporting Bluetooth device communication.

Pairing Motorola HS820 with Blackberry 8310

Hi,

there is really no fail safe method to pairing a bluetooth device.
The main thing is recognition. i,d suggest trying to press the different buttons on the transmitting bluetooth device, whilst attempting to pair. i.e volume up/down or on/off et,c. to enable the device-blackberry to find and sync. i,d think the device that needs to be configured or setup correctly is the blackberry rather than the bluetooth device.
try changing the phone settings. to accept all incoming signals on bluetooth, or disable encryption.

hope this helps.
