My Jennair gas cooktop has a problem with the ignitor. The front left ignitor keeps firing when I try to light any of the other three burners. The only way to stop it is to light all four burners. Help!!

Take a look at the solutions that have been posted regarding igniters. i suspect a dirty or wet push-down knob. you will see that others have had water/moisture causing problems. drying mights solve it, but it may need a a bit of a clean. keep trying. it must have taken me a couple of hours to solve.
Try cleaning around all the ignitors at each burner. Look for build up of cleansing product and/or food. Sometimes all it takes is a good cleaning and removal of a buildup to solve this. Worth trying before replacing a bunch of parts! K
It is sparking because the module does not sense the heat which would normally cause the sparking to stop.
It can be caused by a poor ground, make sure the ignitor at that burner is clean and free from any obstructions. If it is then it could either be a defective ignitor or spark module.
Try carefully cleaning around the ignitors. Also clean hole in burners. Clean the holes closest to ignitors. This can be caused by a crack in ignitor, this requires replacement.
you will need to contact your certified local service tech.you might have a distributor problem at yor ignitor box.if the problem is not with your ignitors.
I have a viking gas cooktop. The ignitor on one of my front burners wouldn't stop clicking even after the flame ignited. I swapped that ignitor with the ignitor from a back burner, expecting that the problem was with the ignitor and that the back burner would start to click incessantly, but at least I'd have my favorite front burner for use. Instead, the front burner was then only clicking 50% of the time and the back burner was fine, suggesting the problem was related to the burner not the ignitor. I pulled the front ignitor a bit away from the burner and now it is working normally. Hope this helps.
