Error code -F1- and broken glass door in lower oven

I have two problems with a GE double oven Model number JKP 26GOP4BG Serial Number AL624223Q. It will do nothing but beep and flash an error message -F1-. Then the second part is that in trying to get the double ovens out of the wall I broke the black glass of the lower oven door. Are doors replaceable and what is the usual cost of repair of the door replacement and the -F1- error code? Thanks, Jack

Here is some wisdom for understanding F1 fault codes.

In some models, there are subcodes that make diagnosis even easier.

Here's a simple explanation of what's going on and how to troubleshoot:

The F1 code indicates that:

a. The electronic range control (ERC) is sensing heat in the oven when in a time-of-day (i.e., not cooking) mode.

b. The ERC is receiving information to run multiple heat functions simultaneously.

Although different components (depending upon the model) could generate the code, simple and straightforward testing using your ohm meter is all you gotta do to test for it.

1. Check the oven temperature sensor. The oven sensor has to be within spec or it will cause the F1 code.
As an example of being out-of-spec, the ERC will generate an F1 fault code when the sensor shows 1650 ohms during a time-of-day mode.
This is equivalent to 350°F in the oven.
The resistance isn't high enough to generate an F2 code (runaway temp) or an F3 or F4 code (shorted/open sensor circuit).
The ERC monitors the sensor circuit after a heat cycle and expects the resistance to drop back to 1050-1100 ohms.
The fault code is generated when this doesn't happen. Checking the sensor circuit means also checking the harness,
harness connections and the sensor itself.

2. If the oven sensor circuit checks okay, then turn your inquisitive eyeballs to the touchpad.
If the range has a separate touchpad/keyboard, the keypad may have moisture that is shorting several circuits simultaneously.
If the F1 code is given immediately (instead of during or after a heat cycle),
remove the ribbon connector from the touchpad to the ERC after clearing the F1 code. If the F1 code does not return in five minutes,
then cast a suspicious gaze upon the touchpad/keyboard. Shorts may be caused by using an ammonia-based glass cleaner.
The touchpad surface will absorb ammonia-based cleaners that are sprayed directly on the glass surface. When heat is applied,
the surface material can break down causing shorts.
If you're gonna use ammonia-based cleaners on your control panel, then you should spray it on the rag and then wipe the touchpanel
-don't spray directly onto the surface of the touchpad.

3. On Amana ranges with a rotary temperature dial, be sure that the knob is in the OFF position when performing tests.

4. If these tests all check good, then replace the ERC.

My ge monogram double wall oven had an f9 error code for both upper and lower ovens when set to 500 and then cook at 450. Is this normal. How do I fix this

An F9 error code on a General Electric (GE) oven indicates that the oven's electronic control system has detected a problem with the automatic door lock. The automatic door lock mechanism prevents the oven door from being opened when the oven is set for "Clean" mode. The malfunction may be a jammed door lock mechanism, a pinched or broken wire, a faulty lock switch or a fault in the control board itself

that's a bad door latch,if you use the self clean don't use it anymore, the oven gets up to 1000 degrees and damages the electronics in the oven, takes out the clock assy. the door latch things like that.part number WPW10195934 go here to see parts go here put model number in and look up parts, also you can check all the error codes down in bottom right hand side
https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model-number/RBD305PDB14/1198/0125300.html?searchType=modelSearch&q=Rbd305pdb14&searchTerm=Rbd305pdb14
go to upper oven and look at part number 22,you should have googled the error code before you changed out all those parts.

The inside glass (between the inner and outer glass of the door) of the upper oven door of my GE JT952-30 shattered during a baking cycle. I need the replacement part number and a possible source.

Hello would need the entire model number as you can see by this link there are 32 models of that oven http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/JT952?searchModPar=JT952&pathTaken=modelSearch&prst=0&shdMod=JT952

you can either message me back and I will then pick which is your unit then you would go under door schematic and it would bring up the diagram for your unit which when you clicked on door it would being you to this blown up view of the door this is an example http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/GE-Parts/Wall-oven-Parts/Model-JT952BF7BB/0432/0125300/G0510389/00005?blt=06&prst=&shdMod= and if you scrolled down to like on this schematic has the outer door glass shown as number 140 in the diagram and then underneath that it would give the part number such as it does for this one being
PART NUMBER: WB57T10259 if you have any further questions or would like me to look your model up further please message me back with the complete model number Thanks Rick

How do I find the part number for replacing control board for GE?

I would not be so sure about that the problem is in the control board. Check switches on the door lock assemblies first.

Top oven glass in door is broken (thermadore).

Hi,
Your oven model number is usually located on the rim of one of the oven doors or on the frame oaround a door. Some ranges with bottom drawers have the model number on the frame behind the drawer.

Here is a tip that I wrote about replaceing your glass....

I need to replace the glass door front on my GE Profile 27" double wall oven JK955. Other than the outside glass being broken the rest of the door is fine. Can I purchase replacement glass?

Yes, but i believe it comes with the door handle already attached. Full model number, upper or lower and color is needed for looking up the part number. Expect to pay $210-280
