It is a known issue with the low fuel warning light.. You need a mobile auto electrician with a $5,000 scan tool computer. It will pinpoint all the issues with the various modules..
Did you refill the cartridge? If so, then you will need to reset a chip on the cartridge somehow. Usually epson doesn't sell "refill" ink unless it is an EcoTank series printer.
According to the information on the website, you should be able to press the Stop/Reset
switch for about 5 seconds to disable ink level monitoring on the
empty cartridge.
If it is a brand new cartridge it will show as full. If you have refilled your ink then it still shows as low. Their should be an option in your printer settings to turn off that annoying warning.
try keeping pressed the cancel button for 6 seconds, that will disable the lower ink sensor, some times it is necessary repeat the procedure to the disable, the low ink warning must dissapear.
It is a little known fact that ink cartridges do have an expiry date, and it is sometimes possible that even if a printer reads full, that it has dried out and will not print. When you recieve a warning that your ink is too low you will simply be unable to print black ink after a certain point. Generaly if you want to print in only black you will have to do that when you print a document. For instance in IE when you go to file and then print you can select prefrences and select print in greyscale or black. hope this helps!
I eventually discovered that the blinking was simply caused by the printer running out of ink. I intially dismissed this as a possibility because Windows always used to warn us when the ink was getting low. However, I presume that we no longer get those warnings now that we're running on Vista rather than XP - a compatibility issue I guess.
This is problem with the Bad chip on the inktank ,Check with new orginal one if it works ok Ask Cannon to replace the damaged intank. We had faced many OEM chip with fault
Dell's proprietary grip on its printers causes this message to appear with any non-Dell or refilled cartridge. The messages/ink filled levels will only be reset if you buy a new Dell ink cartridge or have a way to update their encoding strip.
The good news is that you can still use refilled cartridges just minimize the level warnings to the task bar and ignore them when they come up. Everything should still print fine.
