Has new battery, but no dial-tone,

Check that the volume on the handset is turned up, also replace the batteries or put in non-rechargeable ones to get the phone working at full capacity. If bought from Amazon you should be guaranteed for a year, not a month!

Remove the batteries let them discharge over night. Place in chargers for 24 hours. If still static unplug all phones from all jacks. Plug in a phone...a different one from the cordless ones. to make sure the static is not on the line.
You can then try to replace the rechargeable batteries or get a new phone.

Depending on your model, you can change the dial mode on the handset from pulse to tone through the menu option.
Try pressing the menu button, scroll down to global setup, press select, scroll to dial mode, press select, scroll to tone, press select. You should then get a confirmation beep, and tone dialing with them activiate for your next call. This should allow you access to your voicemail.

My phone is making a lot of noise and static on in coming call so bad I can't talk. out going I can't make. I put in the number to dial call does not go through ,but I can hear the dial tone. do I need a new battery or is there something wrong with the phone itself.

You may need to replace the battery, or let unit charge 12-18 hours without it being plugged into telephone jack-proper recharging method. You should have done this right away when it first came home.

Hi - I stumbled upon this fix after my KX-TGA8231B DECT6.0 phones lost dial tone: I simply removed the rechargeable AAA batteries from the backs of each handset and put them back in after a few moments. This restored dial tone and the ability to hear a call when the phone is answered. Good luck. ---Gerry

It may not be registed with the main unit. You may need to register the handset. With my uniden all i have to do is put it in the main base until it says what handset it is (it should be a number).

All you have to do is put the phone that does not get a dial tone on the MAIN CHARGING BASE for 20 seconds! it will then sync up!

Dial tone is OK, but can't dial out
• Make sure the tone/pulse setting is programmed

TONE/PULSE DIALING
1. Make sure the phone is OFF (not in TALK mode).
2. Use the CID/VOL left (-) or right (+) arrow button to
scroll to 1TONE or 2PULSE, or use the touch tone
pad on the handset to enter the desired setting. For
example, to choose TONE dialing, press the number 1
key. 1TONE is the default setting.
3. Press flash/program to store selection. You will hear a
confirmation tone.

When misplaced in the charger the xg2200 beeps, are you sure the phone is placed correctly? please let me know. Good Luck
