I have replaced the cartridge on my single faucet single handle moen kitchen tap, but water still leaks out under the central area that holds the cartridge. Is there a schematic that shows where and what washer rings should be located.

Did you replace the spout, -o- ring's. they would cause a leak to show up there as well.no need to pull cartridge again, just handle, and then pull up spout and that is it. there should be a small packet of lube w/ -o- ring kit, lube up around shaft and new -o- ring's.available at any good hrd ware store

How do I replace the cartridge in my Moen 7065 Vestige Single Handled kitchen Faucet?

first the water needs to be shut off, then with an allan wrench if i remember it should be 1/8. the allan screw is located in the handle. remove the screw completely and under the handle should be a nut, with a crescent wrench remove the nut and the cartridge should be ready to be removed. it is going to be difficult to come out with out the proper moen tool but vise grips will help as you have to pull straight up. if you find a plumping wholesale and give them the model # they should be able to give you the right cartridge. or if you call moen the will ship you one either way it should be free as that is a warranty item.

No Hot water coming out when single handle on hot water side.Cold water comes out fine. Water in the lines leading to the taps, but no hot water coming out. This is a bathroom faucet Moen single handle.

Cartridge removal is a simple matter of exposing and pulling out the old cartridge. Before getting started, turn off both water valves underneath the sink and allow the water to run until the line is clear. Using a screwdriver, gently pry off the cap on the lever of the faucet handle to expose the cartridge. Remove the U-shaped retaining clip that holds the cartridge in place and pull the cartridge out. If dirt or residue makes removal difficult, use a Moen cartridge puller to assist you. A cartridge puller fits over the cartridge and gives you greater pulling power.

Soak the dirty cartridge in vinegar for four hours and replace.

If cleaning the cartridge does not work, call the Moen Helpline at 1-800-465-6636 or Customer Service at 1-800-465-6130 to order a free replacement. Locate the part number on the cover page of your instruction manual. If you no longer have the manual, look on the underside of the spout.

The water supply should have no bearing on the working motion of the faucet cartridge or handle. On both models of Moen faucet, the handle needs to be hooked under the cartridge's top cam bearing. It is a bit tricky sometimes. Here's the parts view for 7300 and 7310 Moen Kitchen faucet. Parts view for 7100 Moen.

There will be a set screw on back or under cap on top. Remove handle, next use a phillips screw driver to remove the part that holds on to the cartridge. Then a bonnet that unscrews leaving the cartridge easily repaired or replaced. And there you have it.

Moen 7065 leaking at base of lever control in kitchen faucet

Yes, a cartridge will probably solve it. There are two different Moen cartridges so be sure to take the old one with you so you get the correct one.
