Acer display drivers for mac-mini ?

hi, may I know how are you connecting the mac-mini to the display? if it is VGA, that is the highest resolution it can go. But if you're connecting it via HDMI or DVI-D, it can reach its highest resolution for the monitor. did have similar problem last time, but solved by using HDMI-DVI cable.

No input signal recommended settings hp vs15 monitor 1024x768 60h

old monitor 1280 x 1024
power light on?
OSD work?
if it said on the screen no input sig, then that is 100% true
the PC is not sending output.

check the video cable connections both ends
then if bad, boot PC to safe mode. does that work.
then maybe you set the PC graphic resolution too high for the monitor. use safe mode to set new , legal resolution
1280 x 1024 is max, do not exceed, the horz, vert, reso to the left here. if you do the monitor , will display, out of range. errors.

im confused, you show HP monitor then Sam.
why ?
my guess is HP question posted in SAM section.
so here is my HP answer
1280 x 768 @ 75Hz

if your PC or other device exceeds any of those. this old monitor
will go blank.
HOR, vert and refresh rates max.

to solve this riddle, set the PC to
1280 x 768
then connect monitor and bingo.
but there is a chicken and egg deal here.
if the display car is over this, as most new systems are.
then use safe mode to set the resolution to 1280 x 768
and reboot to normal mode.
boot and it F8 , safemode.

Monitor only works at start up. then I must use optional monitor. occasionaly monitor will work for a short time

You may need to change the resolution on the screen, in windows, you may find the "Display Options" under "Control Panel", usually this problems is caused by the computer having a hight resolution than the supported by the monitor, for your specific monitor the available resolutions are:
Support of video modes up to 1280 x 1024 at a 75 Hz refresh rate from the manual at:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00264775.pdf
That means you have to chose a resolution lower than 1280 x 1024 and a frequency lower than 75 Hz. Anything higher than that on the resolution or frequency will cause the monitor to display a "Out of Sync" message and turn off shortly thereafter.
Thanks !!!

I want to run a software which requires a screen resolution of 1280 x 768 but my Samsung SyncMaster 740nw supports up to 1280 x 700 screen resolution. Is there anything that I can do? Please guide.

Have you tried adjusting the screen resolution in Control Panel - Display - Settings and moving the slider on Screen resolution?
Normally a monitor such as Samsung LCD would be able to display a higher resolution.
If you cannot adjust the Screen resolution in Display - Settings then it may be that the correct video driver was not installed or is corrupted.
To check if the video diver is OK, go to Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device manager and click on Display adapter. Check that your display adapter is OK and working. If you see a yellow ? against the video adapter or a standard VGA adapter was installed then you need to re-install the video driver for your model graphics card.

I have hooked my Acer 1912 monitor up to my toshiba laptop as a second screen. When I select a resolution of 1280 x 1024, the display on the monitor slides over five inches to the right and I only see half...

Friend,
On the monitor go to settings and shift the screen to the left till the display is correct. However, please check for other resolutions after you have shifted. May be the monitor is not geared up to take on 1280 X 1024. Check that as well.

I have upto now been using my LG Flatron L1919S monitor as a tv with a separate tuner. today i replaced it with an LCD tv and was going to use the monitor for my computer. however when i connected it up...

It means your PC video output resolution is too high for the LG monitor to display (your old monitor (CRT) can handle higher resolution than this LG LCD monitor), you need to set the PC video resolution to native resolutionof this monitor which is 1280 x 1024 @60Hz. You may have to use the old monitor (CRT) to set the resolution to 1280 x 1024@60Hz, then hook up the LCD monitor.

Set pixels too high. Now monitor won't display.

Native resolution: 1280 x 1024 @60Hz, That is what you need to set the PC video resolution to. Running XP? Boot up in safe mode (hit F8 while booting up), set the resolution to 640x 480, then reboot into normal mode, reset the resolution to 1280 x 1024 @60Hz.

LG stuck in powersave mode

Connect it to a different computer, e.g., a notebook computer,
and set the screen-resolution to 800-by-600, and see if the monitor works.
Change the screen-resolution to 1024-by-768, and try again.
Change the screen-resolution to 1280-by-1024, and try again.

Connect a different monitor to your computer,
and set the screen-resolution to 800-by-600.
Then, disconnect the "alternate" monitor, and connect your monitor.
Change the screen-resolution to 1024-by-768, and try again.
