In the display to the right of the calories catagory, an Oil Can icon haas appeared. Can you explain the problem or what I should do. It's a 5.25 model.

First you need to understand that the Polar system is a medical grade device and it is calculating calories based on specific information that you have inputed and heart rate data from your heart.

Most treadmills and other exercise machines use a much simpler counter that is height and weight based to calculate calories and are generally over generous with their numbers.

Depending on the blood pressure machine you are using, the pulse (not heart rate) is coming through the brachial artery, again not quite as accurate as measuring r-r variance from your heart. There is a ton of literature you can read if you are into the accurateness of the system, but I will sum up with saying that you actual calorie expenditure will be closer on the Polar than on most other devices outside of a hospital. As too the heart rate this is also true, so more likely you are getting inaccurate numbers from the other devices.

If you want pinpoint accuracy then you will need to use the Polar RS800 or S810 devices that measure and display true R-R.

Procedures of acquiring high definition pixel quality
1.power on the computer wait until the desktop of icons display after booting has been completed
2. using the arrow of the mouse or pointer to an area on the desktop without icons, right click to display a prompt list
3. locate the appearance and setting prompt on the list.
4. a click to provide the options to increase the picture quality termed pixels
5. LCD monitors could produce several thousand pixels, select a choice nearly approapiate for reasons explained
a. the highest selection of picture quality provided on the list for a monitor powered by a separate computer with extremely dense graphics like known for modern gaming could cause monitor to blank out as precaution.

b. when selecting a picture quality from the list provided on the appearance settings area after a right click on the desktop, be sure about the compartibility of the monitor and computer unit, explained
c. most modern retail provide system units with higest definition pixel capabilites for several funcitons as gaming graphic and design, connect such a unit to an old monitor would display low quality definition pictures. However, that could be fixed by adjusting the appearance setting only with caution not to select the most highest available from the list of pixels.

right click on the message which appear on the lower portion of the monitor,,,,or you can right click on the icon for it at the lowest portion on your screen ,,,,after clicking right you will get the hide or display option to hide the message or icon...

Yes when you are in time mode press the mode button 5 times this will be your calorie screen press the st/stp button to activate the calorie counter you will see in the bottom left corner it says CA ( meaning calories) and in the bottom right crn are the calories you are burning press the st/stp button again to stop then reset when you want to start again.Hope this helps can you help me? I keep pressing the sensor buttons and my heart rate does not appear what am I doing wrong ? Ive read my instructios inside out even returned the watch and got another but the same thing keeps happening ! I have the same problem. I phoned Reebok Tech Support 01908 512244. It is a timed icon to advise the deck should be lubricated. If you have done so / do this regularly you can ignore it. To remove the icon follow the instructions they emailed me. Hope this works Cheers John Please follow procedure below:
1. Keep power on and remove the safety key
2. Press and hold incline down and speed down, at the same time insert the safety key
3. You can release the “Down” buttons. (you will now hear a beep)
4. Press Speed up
6. Press stop. You will now hear a beep and the icon will disappear

Hi Mxtacsy,

Power down your laptop. Remove the battery and power for about 2 min. Plug in the power only. Boot up your XP. Right click on My Computer>Properties>Hardware>Device Manager. Click on View>Show hidden devices.
If it lists a battery catagory, click on the + , right click on your battery, and select Uninstall.
If it doesn't show, don't worry. Now plug in your battery, without powering down. That should cause XP to redetect your battery. Reboot and your Battery icon and powersaving settings should all be ok.
