Im trying to install an updated flash player (adobe 10)

try this..uninstall it then go and download it again sometimes this will sort out the problem why it will not update.

Run this on the command line:



"sudo apt-get install adobe-flashplugin"


that should update it to the latest version.

Another one is
"sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer"

One of those will work.

Ok, here's what you need to do to try to fix this.
- make sure to remove/uninstall the adobe flash player 10 on your computer (remove it under the control panel.
- download and install adobe flash player 9 and install it. - once installed try to browse a video, if it works, adobe itself will just update to the latest version.

For diferent Operating System @ Install a different version of Adobe Flash Player

When tiy installed your Adobe 10 was it an upgrade on a new install? Whenever you upgrade or install the Flash player you have uninstall all prior versions first. What you might try is uninstall then reinstall. Java is important also.If you don't have it you should get it. If you do ahve it make sure it's updated. To update Java, Get into "control panel", right click on the Java icon and click on the update tab at the top of the window. Hopefully this works for you.

the current version of the Adobe Flash Player is 10-point-something.

So, use Add/Remove Programs to _remove_ Adobe Flash Player.
Restart your computer.

and allow the ActiveX control downloaded from Adobe to be installed.

• Select "Run as Administrator" and install the update..

use mozila firefox then download he latest version from internet. just go to www. google.com and in here just type what do you want.

You may need the latest Java Updates. Go to www.sun.com and download the latest Java Console to your computer. After installation, try to download Adobe Flash Player again. If it does not work then your operating system may not be compatiable with Adobe Flash Player 10. You may need to download an older version such as Adobe Flash Player 9.

You can find older versions of Adobe Flash Player such as 9 on www.cnet.com type in the search field (adobe flash player 9). After the options show up, choose the file to download and install.
