Our life fitness 9500hr recumbent bike has been sitting in the garage for about 1 1/2 years without being used. Our garage is attached and the bike has not been exposed to any damaging elements or anything. It worked fine before we put it out there.
Now when we pedal the start button does not light up the display. What happened and how do we fix it??

If this unit has not been used for that period of time then the 6v batt has died ans needs replacing call National Gym Parts @ 1-800-496-7278 to order part# LC001.5
HERE IS THE PROCEDURE TO REPLACE THE BATT:
Tilt the bike on its side, remove mounting screws securing the battery to the bracket. Remove the battery just enough to access and disconnect the black (neg) wire from the (-) terminal and the red (pos) wire form the (+) terminal. Replace battery and reverse procedure when installing battery
