My Nikon Coolpix 4300 is dead, curret seems not to get into it. Is there a data base of repair tips for this camera? I have the technical manual but it doesnot help-

SOURCE: card cannot be used
This means that the card memory can not be read, make sure the contacts are, clean. use pressurized air cans available from most places like, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Staples, etc.
lightly blow out the memory card and the camera slot, check pin alignment, Format the memory card on your computer first and re-insert in camera. Use another card to see if error continues.

That is the only Nikon software that supports Vista since your camera is "outdated".

I found a really tiny Philips screw driver - unscrewed the case, removed the long plastic label from top and undid clips underneath the label. Took it apart - looked at it in depair and put it all back together again - and the lens slid back in . It is now working perfectly!! You only risk this sort of action as a last resort.

My Nikon Coolpix 4300 has done the same thing. No power reaching anything although battery is fully charged. Have not opened camera, though I think I'll have to; pity to have to replace it when it is probably just a connection or something simple.
my nikon is dead .no response. tried battery fully charged. how u got it fixed??
