go to this site and check out the service manual. I guessed at the unit you had as you did not include the model number.
You can also go to turboairinc.com and search for more info if you need to.

Hope this gets you your answer.

Were is the defrost timer

Delfield freezers have defrost in the control. It is a thermostat, defrost control, and other things all rolled into one device. Not adjustable in any way. check the manual for details. http://download.partstown.com/is-bin/intershop.static/WFS/Reedy-PartsTown-Site/-/en_US/manuals/6000XL%20SERIES_spm.pdf

The evaporator coil now it frozen , so can you show me how to deprost the ice Thanks

This unit should have a defrost timer on near the compressor. You can turn the dial so it is the area set for defrost time. Usually times are set for 6 am, 12 pm, 6 pm 12 am for around 30 minutes. Adjust the timer dial to where the screw is. Or you can just unplug it.

True model gdim-26. runs fine unitl defrost then does not keep cold after defrost.

Hi, sounds like your defrost clock is stuck in the defrost mode. On most true boxes they have a paragon defrost clock with adjustable pins you can set the amount of cycles and duration of the defrost cycle. Find the clock and give it a turn in the direction of the arrow or cw. It will come out of defrost and start to freeze again. If it continues, you may need a new clock. Let me know what you find. Keep me posted. True boxes are top of the line
Sincerely,

Freezer blowing cool air, but not freezing.

Hello there:
first make sure that the back of the unit is clear of any dirt or obstructions
also make sure that the food is not stacked up so high that the air cannot circulate also you may want to check the temperature setting if the unit does not respond to a lower setting your refrigerant level may be low or than you will have to have the temperature controle thermistor serviced or replaced

Need to replace defrost heater in freezer

It could be the defrost time clock. if this is a self contained freezer the timer is kind of oval in shape their is a small hole with flash light should see some thing moving if not it's the timer you can turn adjusting stem until you hear it click that should put in defrost if you have an amp meter you can measure the amp draw should be around 2-3 amps or their is a klixon high temp limit is bad you likely need service. Our blast freezer continues to frost up inside leaving icicles hanging down from the fan and a large icicle hanging from the top left white plastic piece. There is a defrost cycle. Should I somehow adjust...

Defrost termination is not working it should be terminating on temp. its terminating on time if it is a small blast freezer their is a high limit switch not opening. if you can adjust the time average defrost time 25-40 minutes try decreasing by 5 minutes no less than 20 minutes you will need to make sure that the coil clears after defrost.

HOW TO BYPASS

If the refrigerator is not icing up it could be the defrost thermostat making the defrost cycle initiate every time the defrost timer makes defrost available. I do not recommend by-passing the defrost cycle, have the switch checked and replaced if needed.

Loud bang

John,
What you are hearing is popping caused by thermal expansion inside the evaporator enclosure during its' defrost cycle.
Depending on your make and model, it'll go into defrost every 8 to 12 hours of compressor "run time". That is, the defrost timer "monitors" how long the compressor runs and after it accumulates the pre-set "run time", the timer then shuts the compressor off and initiates its' programmed defrost routine. This routine lasts for 20-30 minutes, or until the defrost thermostat opens.
The defrost routine sends 120 volts to a heating element in the evaporator compartment which gets red hot. This sudden temperature change (from below freezing to warm) causes the cabinet to expand slightly. That's when you hear the "Pop".

I hope this helps, John. Thanks for using FixYa, and don't forget to rate my answer.

WALK INS HAVE TWO THINGS THAT SHORTEN DEFROST OR MAKE THEM LONGER. IF ALL THE ICE IS BEING CLEARED BY THE HEATERS IN THE COIL THEN IT WILL KICK OUT AUTOMATICALLY IF DEFROST CONTINUES AND THE COIL GETS TO HOT DUE TO AN OVERTEMP SENSOR ON THE COIL. HOWEVER IT WILL STAY IN A DFROST AS LONG AS IT IS PROGRAMMED TO UNLESS THAT SENSOR TRIPS. SO...... LOOK AT THE TIME CLOCK AND SEE WHAT LENGTH OF TIME ITS IS SET FOR. USUALLY A DEFROST CYCLE WILL BE SET FOR 30 TO 40 MINUTES. IF SET TO LONG THEN DEFROST GOES TO LONG AND ONLY COMES BACK ON WHEN SENSOR TRIPS. ADJUST CLOCK TIME TO 30 MINUTES OR 5 MINUTES LESSS THAN ITS SET AT RUN A FEW DAYS AND OBSERVE ICE FORMATION ETC. CLOCK MAY BE STICKING AND MAY NEED A LIGHT DRENCHING OF THE GEARS WITH A LIGHT OIL. TURN IT AROUND A FEW TIMES TO SPREAD OIL AROUND. YOU COULD RUN A CHECK ON THE CLOCK BY SETTING THE TIME TO TWO MINUTES AND GENTLY TURN IT TILL ITS CLICKS INTO A DEFROST AND WAIT . IT SHOULD COME OUT OF DEFROST AND BACK INTO REFRIGERATION IN 5 MINUTES. IF DEFROST IS SET WAY TO LONG THEN IT HAS BEEN RELYING ONLY ON THE TEMP OVERTEMP SENSOR TO TERMINATE DEFROST. IF IT FAILS THEN THE EXCESSSIVE DEFROST WILL CONTINUE TILL PRODUCT MELTS. SETTING THE CLOCK TO A SHORTER TIME SHOULD CORRECT BUT THE OVERTEMP SENSOR IS PROBABLY BAD . AVAILABLE FROM MOST COMMERCIAL REF REPAIR COMPANIES. OR YOU MAYBE CAN ORDER FROM MANUFACTURER AND CHACK EXACT OEM PART WIRE FOR WIRE ETC. LABEL ALL WIRES . TURN OFF POWER, TEST IT. MAKE NOTES.
