That means that it will Transmit, like pressing the "Talk" button, BUT ONLY when it hears the "Voice" it was "Trained" on. So this is so No-one else could use this unit. With this method. You "Identify" yourself, and after that every-time you speak, the Transmitter is keyed, and the channel is opened and the voice sent, when you stop talking,it goes back to receive, again. Some are less sophisticated, in that they are really a "Sound Switch" and when the unit "Hears" a "Voice" it, switches OFF receive, and ON the transmitter, and Transmits the audio out.

I have a Motorola V560 phone. It was mine at one time and I activiated the voice recognition. Now my husband has it and wants to use his voice instead. How do I change the voice recognition feature?

I would do a master clear and delete all old data off phone. Do this by going to settings>security>master clear> sec code: 000000. Good Luck!

I cant get signal why?

Could be a number of reasons. These radios operate using FM, which transmit and receive most effectivel on a line of sight. If you have something physically blocking you like buildings, hills, any obstruction..., you could then have problems with reception.

Modify a motorola T5500 to work in different frequency

Sorry. The MHz of your radio cannot be changed. And there are no "private" frequencies available for use. However, your radio is equipped with this in mind.

There are 22 frequencies built into the T5500, along with 38 Interference Eliminator Codes. The two combined offer you over 836 choices to avoid other people. And if this is not sufficient, they also have the capability Qt filtering.

Motorola T5500 Scanning problem

Most likely it is stopping at a channel which has RF (radio frequency) activity. The activity doesn't have to be another radio with someone talking. It could simply be something transmitting on the same MHz. The only way to know for sure is to try the radios in a different location (as in moving away from the problem). If you want to avoid this "noise" you can turn on your interference eliminator, and it should block out anyone transmitting on the frequency (unless they set their interference eliminator to the same code as yours.)

If the noise continues when you try the radios in a different location (more than 5-10 miles away), then you will have to investigate a problem with the radios themselves.
