The unit overflows on an inconsistent basis. It seems to fill, shut off, go through the wash and drip-drain cycles fine and pump out all the water fine when it doesn't overflow. If/when it does overflow, it seems to do so early in the overall cycle. I've changed the overflow control switch but this didn't resolve the problem. What else might be causing this?

My Kenmore Washer 110.92597200 will not stop filling which causes water to overflow drum onto floor. It does not seem to respond to Water Level setting.

top loader machines have a small tube running up to the sensor that fills with water and affects the level settings
check that it is not a problem with the inlet solenoid not shutting of the water
call a service technician

After my toilet fill valve shuts off, water continues sipping into tank slowly. This causes water continuously overflow through overflow tube.

check that the fill valve was installed correctly
adjust the float level so that when full the cistern water level is around 1/2" below the over flow pipe end
what you have now is that the inlet water is not being shut off correctly and the water is still coming in and flowing out of the overflow

Overflow tube

If you manually pull up on the float of the fill valve will it then shut off? If it does, most likely your water pressure is too high, should be around 60 psi. More then 80 and it won't shut off. You may need to add a restrictor to the fill valve. Most fluid-master units come with one already installed, you could try one of them.

Set it going, fills up ok, goes through washing cycle but after spinning and then filling up for next cycle it overflows

Rather hard to understand your problem from the wording in the question but what I understand to be the case is that your tub fills up with water and overflows after the cycle is finished. Perhaps overnight water slowly fills the tub. This is due to the water inlet valve not shutting off all the way. The Inlet valve assembly needs to be replaced.

My undercounter Whirlpool ice maker is not putting water in the bin on a consistent basis. It causes the pump to run dry. I am trying to determine if I need to replace the computer board or the water...

when you first turn the machine on it will go through 2 fill cycles. turn the machine off, and drain the water reservoir. when you turn the machine back on the first fill cycle should fill the reservoir and over flow a little bit. If it does not overflow then you are not getting enough water (change the fill valve). If it does overflow on the first fill cycle, the the machine probably needs acid cleaned. the instructions on acid cleaning are usually on the door. I don't believe the computer board would be your problem here. Hope this helps, CLINT

During the wash cycle, the water and suds overflow and flood the launry room

try turning off the water at the supply after the machine fills up and see if this still happens. Chances are your fill valve isnt shutting off when its supposed to.

You should also check for power to the switch after the unit starts the wash cycle and see if it is still energized. Which would be a sign of a damaged timer unit.

Washing machine water will not shut off when filling the machine

If your unit keeps filling with the power off, it is the water fill solenoid(s). If the machine overflows it is the float switch. Check out partselect.com and put in your model number. It will show a picture of the part and the price.

If you need more help, post another comment.
