If the receiver is leased from DISH Network, it specifies is the receiver is alter in any manner, the warranty is voided. If you own the receiver, you are free to do what you like with your receiver. I hope this helps.

Dvr box wont record

Are you able to access any of your previous recordings?

Try unplugging the receiver for 10-15 seconds and plug back in. The receiver will reboot itself for you and should restore functionality of the DVR. If that doesn't work the hard drive has likely failed and we would need to send a replacement receiver.

How do I transfer recorded programs from my 622 DVR to my home computer?

User guide. above.
You would have to connect up, using a PC & DVR software and some form of TV/Video recording Card, or USB device. Then connect up via AV, Composite, Yellow, Video. White & Red Audio. and "Capture" either live video & Audio, so basically whatever was viewed on the screen, would be "Recorded" on the PC, via the TV/Video interface device, if using a laptop, then a USB "Dongle" & software would be the best. In a Desktop, a PCI-I card would be Best, Then using the Software that comes with the devices, you "Record" with that and "Play" with the Dish DVR, and save, the Streamed Video & Audio to the PC. Now, If you have Component Out, on the Dish, then this is the one to use, If you choose this way, remember the Device you are going to use Must have a Component INPUT as well, as A Stereo Audio Input, so ensure the device you get has that feature.

DVR is inaccessible. Error 024 "Unable to access this feature at this time. Data not available." SAT connection fine - just dvr issue.

You will need the receiver replaced as the hard drive is developing an internal error. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Recovery of content on DVR-625 hard drive

usually hard drive failure boils down to files not opening succesfully, or a random internal failure, not a physical issue with the hard drive, however because dish network repairs these issues on a large scale the fix is to wipe the software and start over which means all recordings are lost, unfortunately recovering these recordings is basically impossible... if you often record things which are imperative to your business i would suggest getting a 622/722 dvr which will allow you to download these recordings to an external hard drive via usb, you will have unlimited use uploading and downloading programs for a one time fee of about 40$

Lines on TV with DVR-625

try using a better cable from the receiver to the tv. sometimes less expensive cables dont "ground " as well as they should after a few years. the more shielding the better. the cable here will sell you the cable much cheaper then going to any store and its better quality, even if your not a customer of cable.
hope this helps
