Will not open internet web pages

How to re set Home Page
If you have not already done so, open Internet Explorer and go to the Google page .
Click the arrow to the right of the Home button , and then click Add or Change Home Page.
In the Add or Change Home Page dialog box, do one of the following:
To make the current webpage your only home page, click Use this webpage as your only home page.
To start a home page tab set or to add the current webpage to your set of home page tabs, click Add this webpage to your home page tabs.
To replace your existing home page or home page tab set with the webpages you currently have open, click Use the current tab set as your home page. This option will only be available if you have more than one tab open in Internet Explorer.
Click Yes to save your changes.

open internet explorer click on tools then goto internet options
then click the advanced tab go down to the reset button and reset internet explorer to the defaults.
then after that is completed close internet explorer and reopen internet explorer and see if the web page comes up.

If you're using Internet explorer 8, try clicking the 'Work Offline' from the 'Tools' drop down menu located at the upper right corner of your browser.

First, check if you're able to open the webpages in other web browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Opera, etc.
If web pages are opening normally in other browsers then restore the Internet Explorer to default settings.

Restoring Internet Explorer7/8 to its default:

1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3. On the Advanced tab, click Reset.
4. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset to confirm.

Hi there.
You need to reset the the wireless router and the modem, to do this just pull the power from the back of them for 2 minutes, don't power them off from the wall.
After the 2 minutes is up plug the power back in and wait for another 2 minutes for them go through the boot procedure. After that try to connect again.
If it still doesn't connect post back.

There are many possibilities that you are unable to connect to internet.

Can you check your internet explorer is not in offline mode? in IE goto File->Work Offline must not be ticked.

Open command prompt, and type "ping yahoo.com" and press enter, you will see the % rate of dropping whether is connected to internet or not will tell too. Write me what do you see in the command prompt.

have you checked if the gateway you're connecting allows you to surf the net?

Have you installed any software firewalls lately, I know Norton has a habit of randomly blocking the internet.

Try disabling any firewall you may have and try again, if the internet surfing problem persists, try plugging in a wired connection and seeing if you can surf from there.

Hi, if you have put in a incorrect security Network Key you will recieve the error, if you know its correct try this usually works, Load Internet Explorer you will get page not displayed, click on tools, then internet options, click on security and there is four pictures click on each one then click on default level, do the same for each picture then click apply, then click advanced then restore defaults, apply it, then click ok, close internet explorer then give it a try and hopefully it should work.
