Router not working right

If you have a desktop you can share the cdrom drive over the network and access the cdrom drive from the notebook of the desktop. its a lot slower but it will work.

place both computers on the same workgroup
right click on desktop cd rom drive and click share drive
then on the notebook go to strat run type //"name of desktop computer"
if you dont know the name right click on my computer and should display computer name

The wireless settings in the Belkin has been setup with encryption.
You can restore the Belkin back to the factory default by powering up the Belkin and press the RESET button for 7 secs.
It is not wise to leave your wireless router unsecured, anyone can access your network and Internet connection and use up your allocated download limit. Once you exceed your download limit you could be slug with addition charges - this depends upon your contract with your ISP.

On internet explore type 192.168.2.1 into the web address bar and click enter. If it says not connected in the top right corner then run through the setup again.

You have the right gizmo there. You just need to set it up correctly. If you are in the US contact belkin @ 1 800 223 5546.

You need to know your ISP type first before trying to contact them. Know if you have a PPPoE (High speed DSL with password) Dynamic IP internet (no user name or password required to connect to the internet, usually used by cable internet providers)

After you find the right information just contact belkin and they will assist you with the proper router usage.

you can buy a wireles linksys usb for your lap top and have a wireless router linksys stationary and the lap top usb ..... will pick up the signal for your lap top, i have a usb port linksys and it works great, but u do need a router in your home to pick up the signal

If could be that you were unable to reset the router properly. You have to make sure that the router is on while pressing and holding the reset button using a paper clip. the reset button is usually found at the back of the router, then you may have to reconfigure the settings again.

you can also manually access the router page for you to change the settings.

change the wire less channels use 1 or 11>and always keep teh wire less pc close to teh router>and disable the fire wall in the router rate me solved if its helps thx
