My sony vaio laptop when powered on shows windows resuming with the hour glass active then after 7 to 8 minutes, the screen just goes to the Window Vista blue screen. No hour glass , mouse not active or the touch pad can not be activated. it seems it has been locked. Tried several times to power off then on but it only do the same thing. How to solve this problem..bring it to the desktop screen with all icons and active cursor.

the best thing you can do is hook a wireless keyboard and mouse to your laptop. That's what i did and all is working well

A quick short cut is to open a browser if you use Internet Explorer and select tools menu, then select Internet options. When the box opens then select the advanced tab and scroll down until you see a check box under security and check allow active content from CD to run on my computer.

If it is still under warranty then get it repaired under warranty, because if you try to fix it yourself and do further damage you most likely would void the warranty.
