Craftsman weed wacker trimmer head won't turn

I replaced the drive shaft on my craftsman weed wacker but the trimmer head still will not turn. It seems that something is preventing the drive shaft from seating properly. Any suggestions?

It could still have the broken peice from the old one inside the seat.take it apart and look inside and inspect the seat where the drive cable enters.

If your clutch is spinning you more than likely have broken the drive shaft that goes down to the head. it is fairly common with craftsman weed trimmers.
