Hi the screan is broken on the inside of my coolpix p80.. can it be fixed?

My wife had the same problem. I took hold with needlenose pliers and pulled while she held the catch open. The battery came out and proved to be swollen. It was an original battery I bought at the same time as the camera.

Unfortunately a "lens error" message is not something that you will be able to fix. This error indicates a system failure and requires the camera to be sent in for servicing and repair.

You may find it more cost effective to purchase a new camera as opposed to the repair price on your current camera.

You can do it through computer, using a memory card reader or there are many new laptops are with a inside memory card reader too, then you can transfer pictures from the camera memory and to the memory card.

The lens of the camera can be retracted by mechanical means driven by gears thus sometimes likely to become misaligned or jammed. Please do not attempt to force or push the lense as it might cause serious damage, the best thing to do is to have it fixed by your authorized local repair shop and have the mechanical components checked.

there is an actual lock on your card on the side very small see if you may have locked it on accident

They will repair it for $50 if you send it in to them, otherwise you can probably get a screen on ebay.
