The camera lens is blurry. Not clear focus.

My camera is 'new'. Used it possibly 4 times to date.
The times I used it - the images were not good at all.
However it has been attached to my PC for 2 years - unused.
Now the camera lens is blurry. Not clear focus.
It has been cleaned with spirits - but the view is still blurry.
What to do?
Thanks

Blurry at night sg6153 color camera?

Hello,There are several possible reasons why your SG6153 camera may be blurry at night. I love this camera and researched all the necessary steps you should follow to avoid the blurr.
  1. Adjusting the focus: Make sure that the lens is properly focused. You can try manually adjusting the focus or using the camera's autofocus function.
  2. Improving lighting: Make sure that the area around the camera is well-lit. This will help the camera capture more light and produce clearer images.
  3. Reducing camera shake: A shaky camera can cause blurriness. Try using a tripod or stabilizer to keep the camera steady.
  4. Changing the shutter speed: Try using a faster shutter speed to reduce motion blur.
  5. Cleaning the lens: If the lens is dirty or smudged, it can cause blurriness. Make sure to clean the lens with a microfiber cloth or lens cleaning solution.
  6. Updating firmware: If all above steps fail, check if there is any firmware update for the camera, sometimes bugs and glitches can be resolved by updating the firmware

Pictures are blurry and out of focus

If you've followed all stpes to take a good photo and all you get is a blurred image, you can't really do anything else. Your Olympus Digital Camera is quite complex device and I don't believe it you can repair it yoursef. Look for an authorized repair store, ask for a diagnosis and decide if it can be or is worth to be repaired. You can buy a used one in perfect conditons for about 39 USD

Images are blurry, fuzzy

Good day,

I have heard a lot of complaints about people taking Blurry Photos.

There are a few possibilities for it and a few easy fixes.

The first possibility I would identify is a dirty lens. To fix this simply take a clean microfiber cloth and gently clean the lens until there are no smudges visible.

The other possibility I would identify is that the pictures are out of focus.
This problem can be caused by a dirty lens or because the object or person was not focused on. To ensure focus on your photos, line up your shot and wait for the camera to focus by pressing the shutter button half way down. When focused press the shutter button in all the way and hold the camera still until the photo appears on the screen. By doing this you will eliminate any motion that might mess up your shot.

Please let me know if these tips work for you!

I bought the 10x25 camera binoculars and only one lens will focus using the center dial. Its almost like the other one needs to be focused at the eye piece itself. The pictures are not clear and are...

It is common for binoculars to have one independently focusable eyepiece.  If one eyepiece can be rotated, then that is the case.
If that is the case, focus through the one that DOES NOT rotate using the center control until you get a sharp image on that side.  Then rotate the eyepiece on the blurry side until the blurry side is sharp.  If you succeed at this, from henceforth the center control will focus both eyes adequately

Have blurry image - how do you fix it- Logitech Quickcam for Notebook

On the camera, the plastic around the lens rotates, that is used for focus. Open a video feed from the camera and adjust it until the image is clear. The lens might also need to be cleaned if it has got dirty, use a qtip with water or alcohol to clean the lens on the outside.

My Minolta Z6 used to take clear pictures. Suddenly almost every image became is blurry. I then stored for about a year, now I have cleaned the lense to no avail. Focus l through lcd screen is also now...

I think you may be doing what I have ben doing. The auto focus beam I think emits from the small sender between the hand grip and the lense portion of the camera, ( Bad Design) When gripping the camera my fingers sometimes block the sender and causes it to be blurry as in not focused. .Try to keep your fingers from going in between the grip and lens and I think it will work for you.Let me know if this helps. I am so glad I found this out because this camera takes nice pictures.

Every time i take a picture with my nikon d-40 the pictures are blurry. the camera is on auto focus but i can't seem to get the picture to come out clear. any suggestions?

Is your shutter speed fast enough? If not, you'll need a faster shutter speed or a tripod.

Are you using the proper focus sensor? Is the entire image blurry or just portions of it?

What happens if you focus manually? If it comes out sharp, then there's a problem either with the lens or the autofocus system on the camera. Have you tried it with a different lens?

Is the AF switch on the lens set to A?

Soft or blurry photographs

I would try using a different lens. Check to see if there are any fingerprints on the lens, it could be dirty. The AF works thru the lens itself so if its dirty, that would cause out of focus images.

Was the camera dropped at any time, if so your autofocusing drive could be damaged. Send an email to Nikon and see if they can repair it for you.
