Samsung S630 Digital Camera Logo

My samsung s630 says the memory is full. I cleared photos from the sd card and internal memory, but still can only take four pictures in the lowest quality and size setting.

  • Anonymous Apr 12, 2010

I'm not sure what size the internal memory is, but the sd card is 1gb. I have been using the camera for years, and it has held many pictures at a time with no issue. Now it will only take a low quality 5second video or a couple of small low quality pictures at a time. It doesn't mater if I try to use a card or not. A few days ago it could hold many high quality photos with no sd card.

Memory card might gone bad but can do this following troubleshooting step. Formatting a memory ** This is used for formatting the memory. If you run [Format] on the memory, all images, including the protected images, will be deleted. Be sure to download important images to your PC before formatting the memory. Sub menus
[No] : The memory will not be formatted. Press the menu button three times and the menu display will disappear.
[Yes] : A [Processing!] message appears and the memory will be formatted. If you run FORMAT in Play mode, a [No Image!] message will appear. My samsung s630 says the memory is full. I - 1d36119.png
Be sure to run [Format] on the following types of memory card.
- A new memory card, or an unformatted memory card
- A memory card that has a file this camera can't recognize or one that has been taken from another camera.
- Always format the memory card using this camera. If you insert a memory card that has been formatted using other cameras, memory card readers, or PCs, you will get a [Card Error!] message. ** There might be bad sectors on your memory card.

Texts not working on samsung galaxy y , storage data says full , even though it has been emptied,m no texts are coming in, also the option for moving apps to sd card is greyed out

Your phone can't use the mini SD card as internal memory. Your internal memory has to many apps, and to much data. (pictures, notes and messages) You should clear up the internal memory, by deleting apps and data. Most Samsung apps you can't delete. The modern phones already have apps, exceeding 10 Gb. So if you bought a 16 Gb phone only 5 Gb is left for you to use for apps. I'm sorry, but the SD cards should be seen as an external hard disk, not as internal memory.
If you thought I can buy a phone with less memory, because the SD cards are very cheap and will extend the internal memory, you made an error. New phones from Samsung now get more than 10 Gbyte of apps, you even can't remove. So only about 5 Gbyte is free to use for other apps and messages.
Next phone, take one with lots of internal memory, if you like to install other apps.

Transfer pictures to internal memory from memory card

Although most cameras do have an internal memory, the space is very limited. Most of the time you can store on or two pictures. When you shoot in lowest quality, perhaps 10.
If the internal memory is full you can move the pictures from the internal memory to a SD memory card. Not the other way around.
For this see the manual (English) page 33

When l take my SD card, it still says " DCF Full Error"

Hello and Welcome

The DCF error message with your Samsung camera nearly always occurs when you're using a memory card that was formatted with a different camera, and the file format structure is not compatible with your Samsung camera. You will have to format the card with the Samsung camera. However, make sure you download any photos to your computer first

I have the samsung s630 and i have taken some pictures on it before i got a memory card. i want to save them to my memory card, but when i insert the memory card those photos wont show up. how do i get...

If you remove the card from the camera and connect the camera to your computer with the USB lead, you should see the camera's internal memory as a disk drive on the computer. If there is a memory card inserted, you will see that memory instead.

Unlocking individual pictures is done with the same function that locked them. It is probably on a menu available when you are viewing the pictures on the camera.

SCREEN READS INTERNAL MEMORY FULL. HOW CAN I CLEAR THE MEMORY. IT WILL NOT ALLOW ANY PICS TO BE TAKEN. THANK YOU

It's difficult to help you as you haven't said what model camera that you have. But a more important question is why are you still using internal memory for your photos? This is just emergency storage, and isn't meant to hold more than a few pictures. Your camera likely has an SD card slot. If you purchase an inexpensive SD card, you can literally take and store hundreds of pictures:

Samsung s630

About the memory cards to be used with this camera, those could be:
- MMC / SD card (Up to 2GB Guaranteed)
- SDHC card (Up to 4GB Guaranteed)

Some cards are not compatible according to the memory card
manufacturer and memory card type.

If that is the case, i'll be advising you to try 1 GB so it will work.

But if it still does the same thing with the 1 GB card or with whatever cards you're using, you could still take more pictures even without a memory card. It's just that you need to adjust the picture size and quality to the lowest resolution to have more pictures taken.

To change the size:

Rotate the mode dial to PROGRAM:
- Press +/- button (2nd button)
- Go down to where you're see 6M, 5M, ... 1M
- Select 1M for the lowest size
- Press MENU/OK to save changes

To change the quality:

Rotate the mode dial to PROGRAM:
- Press +/- button (2nd button)
- Go down to where you're see Dots corresponding to NORMAL, FINE and SUPER FINE
- Select NORMAL for the lowest quality
- Press MENU/OK to save changes

To turn off camera after the settings
have been changed to refresh the camera.

If it still does not work, you need to contact the Manufacturer.

I hope this help you a lot.
