After upgrading my M/B ,CPU, and RAM , the 2 DVD-RW drives do not play or record, but the BIOS detects them both. My New M/B is, ASUS M4A78T-E the CPU ,AMD Phenom IIx4 955 and RAM ,Corsair CM3X2G1333C9 X2 in duel chanel, The DVD-RW drives are 1) Pioneer DVD-RW 111D , set as Master, and 2) ASUS DRW-1612BL set as Slave.
Can You Help?
I would update the drivers for them and check your device manager to see if they are enabled.
Make sure the sonic software or whatever you use to play the files is installed.
Hi!
Few points to notice:
Waiting for your reply...
Good luck,
Pelu.
I advice you to remove one driver and look whether the other is working. Check both the drives this way. Once you find them working, you can get back to your old system, that is, how it is now. This is not based on any logic, but it may work as your problem may be that your newly upgraded system got confused with the two drivers.

Hi Keynan,
Yes the OS is XP Pro and Device manager is in order.
I have reformated the HDD and did a clean instal of windows, so the problem started.I do not know if i have to use an audio cable from the cd-dvd drive to the M/B. That is the only thing I have not tried yet.
The DVD Drives are both detected in BIOS.
What can you offer?
Thanks
Chris
I have used the patch and I can see the drives in My computer ,
Nothing have changed
