I would bet you have it setup to print a seperator page between jobs. On your printer properties click on the advanced tab and then the seperator button, make sure it is cleared or not selected. Also make sure the program you are printing from doesn't insert a seperator page.

There are a few other things that can cause this. Such as a word processor having a page break or new page command before the text. These are hidden so you don;t see them but you get a blank then the text.

And once in a while it may be the driver isn't quite the correct one. Make sure it is current and the one for your model. On one printer the driver that behaved was the old original one but none of the newer ones downloaded from the company.

Anyway that has been what I have run across that will cause this.

Another solution that worked for some people was installing the hp deskjet 9800 printer driver.

It appears what you need is a patched .gpd file for the BI 2800.
Try emailing Bob Headrick, who has done these patches. (Thanks Bob)!
Be sure to put Vista and Large Format Printing 11x17 in the subject line.

You'd think between HP and MS, they'd have this working right out of the box.
Did they think people would buy a B-size printer so they could hook it up to Vista and then not want to print mainly B-size documents?
They would have had happier customers if they would have included B-size support but left out A-size!
Amazing!

Good Luck

Printer cyles fine but no printing appears

You said you installed new cartridges. Did you install new printheads? These are probably what are giving you the problem. The printheads are treated as a consumable on this printer. (#11 printheads)

HP CP1700 - no cyan or blue printing

Try taking a look at your printheads. Have they been installed for some time. You may need to change them. Start with the Cyan first.

Need help

Since you are doing transparencies just make sure it is for HP also there may be a weight problem. You see as the sheet goes though it can cause a buckle to which now the print cartridge is not touching any longer.
