Is the computer or the camera telling you the battery is bad? If it's the computer, you might have some bad pins on the camera, or your usb cable may have a problem with it. If the camera is reporting this on it's screen, not sure what the problem is there. I would instead, just transfer the pictures to the computer via a card reader through the USB port. Check your printer- many printers these days have memory card slots on them, and you can transfer pics to the computer through them.

I need driver fe 4000

Do you really need a driver?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

I can't connect my Olympus Fe 4000 to my computer to review the pictures.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

I had this on xmas day and was fine for 1st 50 photos then a 2 cm area of the picture on the screen has disappeared. although the photos download ok its rather annoying for a new camera that was not cheap

If this is a black spot that's in the same place on the LCD screen I would say that there are several pixels that have burnt out and definitely a warranty case.

How do set olympus fe-4000 to take photos in black and white?

Sorry, but the FE-4000 does not have a black&white mode. However, just about any photo editing program will have the ability to convert a color photo to black&white. Doing so on a computer gives you much better control over brightness, contrast, and other factors.

My computer doesn't recognize the camera (Olympus FE-4000 Digital Camera), it does nothing as if wasn't plugged in.

Sorry, my last solution was for someone else's problem....I hit the wrong button. As to your problem, try using a card reader from now on....it works every time with no hangups.

Olympus Fe-4000 screen is completely black no image available

Stephan is exactly right. I have a FE-4000 and the LCD screen is most likely dead. As Stephan said, the screen should be replaced by a professional.

Cheers to all
