ELNA 7000 SEWING MACHINE

I have an ELNA 7000 sewing machine which had no problem sewing yesterday. Today I tried to sew on it but the fabric feeder will not rise high enough to feed the fabric and is sitting sewing in one spot - can you PUHLEASE help??? What could be the cause of this???

If you bend over the front of the machine, you will see a slider switch on the back of the machine, and there is a small "button" at the bottom right of the switch (your right). If you push this button down, you can slide the slider switch to your right and the feed dogs will go up.

If the darn setting is selected the feed dogs will not rise, someone has probably inadvertantly selected darn.

sorry, not sure I understand your problem. can you elaborate?

Have you got the correct Elna bobbin for your machine? check your manual, it should have an image of the bobbin, the 7000 was one of the last Swiss made Elnas and although a computerised machine, it still tool the Elna metal bobbin with 7 holes on one side only. If you are using another bobbin in the shuttle, it may not function correctly.
