You didn't give a location, so I cant offer someone to help. I do know that the magnetic switch, otherwise known as a contactor, chatters because its not getting enough voltage at the control coil. It should have a label listing the coil voltage on it, check the power source and go from there.

Can a 2016 frigidaire profile located in a garage in New York be kept on when the outside temps in the garage where located gets in the low 30's

There is some truth to it. Refrigerant needs to flow from high pressure to low pressure, and refrigerant pressure is directly proportional to temperature. Once the temperature drops below 40*F, for the outdoor coil, refrigeration efficiency is lost. Some heatpump units need auxiliary heat because.
Cold refrigerant condenses, into a liquid, and a compressor will not compress liquid, why its valves and internals would chatter into pieces. There is such thing as compressor crank case heaters, or belly band heaters. A heater removes, evaporates liquid refrigerant from within a compressor, it is protection.

I would get a compressor heater, wraps around the compressor belly, near 50 watts, and can use a relay to switch off the heater when the compressor runs, or let the heater work continuously.

I have a gas valve on a lennox furnace that keeps chattering and causes the flame to go off and on constantly. I have replaced the circuit board and flame sensor and cleaned the pilot ignitor. This has...

If the gas valve is chattering it is probably the coil on the valve. You can obtain a ohm reading on the valve and see if you have high resistance with a multimeter. Also check to see if your getting at least 22 volts across the coil should be terminals mv and c on the valve or sometimes there is just a 2 wire plug going to the valve. I think the coil on the vavle is faulty from the info you have given. Feel the black or silver coil on the valve and see if its getting really hot to touch. I would replace the valve

I have a Ramco spa pack and the heater works at first but once it reaches temp and turns off. When the heater tries to kick back on the contactor will chatter and not close all the way unless i push it...

The chattering is exactly what happens when a relay fails. If this is an older model tub, it is likely that you can just replace the ice cube relay. If it is a newer tub, the relay is most likely imprinted into the main cpu board, in which case you have to have somebody put a new relay on the board for you, or replace the control board. If this is an older tub and you need help sourcing parts, you can contact me @

Ticking sound in my 2003 pontiac grand am when i start the car and ticks faster when i accelerate

Worn valve lifter, or the rocker arm needs to be tightened a little.
Have to remove valve covers to see if one is loose.
If it is the lifter, the whole top part of the engine has to be taken off to get at it.

No Heat from Spa

Tcarrigan,

Heater contactors "buzzing": Do you mean normal buzzing or extra loud buzzing? Loud buzzing or chattering can be caused by low voltage to a contactor. If normal sounds, then probably the relays on the contactors is working, but the contacts may be stuck, or burned enough so as not to make contact. First, get a voltmeter and check for 240 volts AC at the heater contactor terminals. If the voltage is low, most likely you need to check the contactors further. Check for dirty contacts, clean if needed. If the contacts are not moving when energized, then you will probably need to replace one or both of the contactors.
