Technics SU-Z25 ''no front led's lit'' and no power to the power on led. All other functions are perfect. Please can anyone advise.

Where is the confusion? I mean that only in a polite way. They just connect to the speaker terminals on the back of the amp.

If you are in the power supply, are you sure that one is used? 4xx series are power supply designations. Maybe numbers got transposed?
2 ways to approach it.
I am looking at an SUZ22 and an SUZ55, the power supplies are roughly the same. The closest component is R416 which is a 39 Ohm resistor. This supplies power to the flourescent display in a current limitng mode.

The alternate approach is where is it in the circuit? what is "downstream of it"?

If it was a larger 1 Watt or 2 Watt Try 1500 Ohms.

If it is the flourescent display, 39 ohms is most probable for manufacturer inventory purposes. If LCD, try 390.

If the preamp is downstream, it is not going to require a great deal of power, and you may be able to trace a parallel trace off the other channel to a corresponding resistor. If that has been tried and it just traces back to the same point, Try 1500 Ohms.

Also, there is symetry in the amplifier because it uses a split supply Vcc- and Vcc+ Not to mentione the symetry between right and left channels.

THe amp has detected a problem and shutdown to prevent further damage. This unit has 2 amp pacs inside and one or both have failed. If you can solder, you can fix this yourself. The main amp pac is an SVI3206 and can be purchased online for about $60.
